The procedure on the day was not as uncomforatble as expected, although post surgery pain was worse than anticipated, but lasted for about 10-12 hours, so not unbearable. I could read numberplates on cars as I was taken home, which was great. General discomfort (dryness) lasted about a month, but vision three months on is very good and overall I'm very pleased with the surgery. The staff were exceptional at all times during the surgery and post care check-ups.
