Wanted Lasik but had to have Lasek due to thin cornea's. The differences were explained to me. It really wasn't plesant for those first 4 days. I wouldn't recommend EK to others unless they were totally okay with the recovery period and the uncomfortable experience. My vision is getting better by the day and it has been worth it for me. I put a hat over my face and goggles for 3 days to really rest my eyes and this really seems to have helped. Boring though... I would recommend getting a digital radio and mp3 player that you can operate blind.
