Put at ease on the day by the staff and strangely reassured by the fact that they were all wearing scrubs. Team were amazing - put me at ease as I was slightly nervous about the anaesthetic eye drops as I take a lot of local to feel the effect when I have had it before. Procedure was straight forward and strangely realxing, pain afterwards was worse than expected and I think it would be advisable to tell people to take painkillers ahead of treatment so that they are already taking effect as soon as you are out - I didnt take mone til I got home 30 mins later and then it took 30 mins for them to work so I had a very uncomfortable hour. All said though I would not hesitate to do it all again if I had to ... and would encourage all of my friends and colleagues to do it too!
