My experience has been positive. In retrospect, I would have liked to be told some details of the operations that scared me a little while I was under, namely the big pressure on the eye bulbs at the start of the operation, which hurt quite a lot, and the smell of burnt: I wasn't expecting either and I wasn't sure whether that was normal, but I was told not to speak or move.
Other than that, my eyes are perfect and I'm glad I got over being squeamish about fiddling with my eyes and did the operation
