I've always been a bit funny about things touching my eyes, or interfering with them too much, which is perhaps one of the reasons I've never had contact lenses. My partner was a laser eye patient and when I was approaching my 30th birthday, I decided to go for it. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The surgery was not painful at all, and the recover time, whilst a little painful on day one, was ultimately pain free, and within a few days I had near perfect vision. Now - some 12 weeks after, my vision is perfect! Total freedom from glasses - I can't wait for my summer holiday so I can just rely on one pair of glasses rather than carrying my sunglasses and regular glasses at all times.
