I stayed at The Owens House with Outpost for a few months and it was a solid experience. The building itself has character, and my room came furnished so moving in was stress-free. The common kitchen and lounge were nice spots to hang out — some days quiet, other times you’d run into people and end up sharing a meal or a conversation.
The location worked out well for me, it’s a calm block but still close enough to coffee shops, grocery stores, and the subway. I also appreciated that the shared areas were cleaned regularly and that the staff responded quickly whenever something needed attention.
Overall, it gave me the balance of having my own private space while still being part of a friendly community in Brooklyn.
