the fitted sheet of split top sheets are notorious for tearing at the split where the two sides of the mattress are separated. I have replaced literally a dozen sheet sets due to this issue. These sheets are 1,800 thread count and the "weak" area that normally tears appears to be reinforced, which I hope will prevent this issue. The price was definitely right.
