This is in relation to the Kings Cross branch. I am a long-time customer, having had my hair cut there exclusively for almost 5 years. The cuts seem to have gone down in quality while the price goes up. I had a bad experience today which the reason for this review, and for starting the hunt for a new barber. The straw which broke the proverbial camel's back. Sigh. So, today. As usual I was booking an appointment in my lunchbreak...
At 9am I booked an appointment for 12.30pm the same day. I booked over the phone and recieved both a text and email confirmation of my appointment. I'd had a bad cut the last time (bad enough my wife wanted me to go elsewhere to get it fixed) but this was with a new barber so I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Long story short I waited 20mins, then was told another customer was going first. They then proceeded to tell me I had the apointment time wrong despite having all the aforementioned confirmations.
I know that things happen, and I'm probably just being sensitive given it wasted my entire lunchbreak, but it has been a slow decline in quality of cuts, combined with a steady price increase and I feel it has got to a tipping point. If I'm going to pay almost £40 for a regular haircut it needs to be reasonably on time and good enough I don't consider it in need of fixing. It hasn't been that in a while.
