I experienced the worst that a husband can go through when on a special date, he plans a surprise for his wife and a store ruins the occasion.
I bought my wife's gift at Pandora and unfortunately I forgot to choose to pick it up at the store. There is a store 15 minutes from my house and it was only after buying that I realized that I had chosen to ship it to my house. At the same time I got in touch and explained the situation. I said I could pick it up at the store. They told me that I couldn't and that I would have to wait 2 to 3 days to receive it. This was on 12/23. Unfortunately, I was informed by email that I would only receive it on 12/30. Even explaining the situation and the importance of the purchase, I was not given an option.
I spent Christmas without giving anything to my wife and explained the situation to her.
The promise would be to deliver today, 12/30 and until this morning delivery was scheduled. To my surprise, at 5pm I received an email informing me that my delivery would only be on 01/03. This is ridiculous, disrespectful, offensive and unprofessional.
I contacted the costumer service who didn't want to do anything and just told me that I had to wait for delivery and had no other option. That he was very sorry, but that he wouldn't have anything to do.
My wife has 4 full bracelets, and I got this new one and bought earrings and a necklace. They're not cheap, and I've spent hundreds of dollars at this store over the years.
I sincerely hope that this is not repeated with other people who plan to surprise the one they love and end up being treated as if they were receiving a favor. I never intend to buy anything from Pandora again. I don't need to go through an unpleasant and disrespectful situation like this. If customers and feelings aren't important to Pandora, I'm not a good customer for them.
