My assessments were simple (yes I work) the work they did was first the internet, then different chapters. They tried to justify it. The assignment was to answer the question from the chapter with citation. Never did they add citations. My assignment was, Dees identifies five key characteristics of social entrepreneurs. Please list and explain each of these. What I received, Chapter 11: Key Characteristics of Social Entrepreneurs Engage in Economic Activity A social entrepreneur needs to continuously engage in activities that involve the exchange or production of goods and services in the market. Despite focusing on addressing environmental or social issues, a social entrepreneur should use business strategies and entrepreneurial principles to generate revenues and sustain business initiatives financially. A social entrepreneur can engage in economic activity to ensure maximum focus on social or environmental impact or improve transparency and measurement reports on the financial and social performance status. Considering imposing limits on the distribution of profits or assets help to promote business fairness and equity and avoid drift from the primary business mission fulfillment. Independent A social entrepreneur should differ from traditional for-profit and state organizations through business objectives, mission, goals, and vision. Independence offers social entrepreneur’s greater control over strategic decisions, resources, and assets, contributing to long-term sustainability. It allows for maintaining stakeholders’ trust by focusing on a unique mission that commits to serving social, environmental, and external interests.
