Back in the '90s I bought a pair of Patra silk trousers, size M. They still fit today and have lasted well. However I decided to buy size L last year because I know many manufacturers skimp on fabric by reducing the crotch to waist measurement, which I find uncomfortable. Unfortunately I had the length adjusted before washing them (as advised by hand in cold water) but they shrank so much they are now pirates! Unwisely I bought another pair recently, size XL, I washed them once and they are now too small. I have never known silk to shrink before, and I wonder whether this fabric is actually silk at all. You can't trust anyone these days!
