I bought a Samsung TV that failed after two months. PC World customer services gave me the 'phone number for the manufacturer's customer services and told me I have to resolve the issue directly with them.
I consider this to be completely unacceptable, I purchased the product from PC World, so they should sort out any guarantee claim themselves.
This situation is exacerbated by the fact that the manufacturer's (Samsung) customer services are equally hopeless and I am not confident of a working TV any time in the near future.
