Aesthetically the overall finish, coating and colour of the mug exceeded my expectations. A good-looking gift to give.
I would have preferred a maker's stamp on the base as people are conditioned to think this is a reflection of quality, which in this case it would have been.
Overall it looked much better than I expected for the money.
