I am in the process of switching to Nationwide Insurance. Why? Because Pets Best has a “repetitive behavior clause” which means if your dog swallows something bad twice within 18 months and has to go to emergency, they will never pay for this again. They don’t mention this when you sign up and you don’t get the documents till after you sign up. This clause is buried in the policy and not clearly defined by example or bold print. They get many cancellations because of this I am told.
