“I am very disappointed with Pets Best and the level of coverage I am receiving now. I previously had Pets Best for another pet before she passed away, and at that time, the insurance was much better. The coverage felt worthwhile, reimbursements were more reasonable, and I felt like I was actually getting value from the policy. Unfortunately, since returning to Pets Best with my current pet, I have noticed a significant change. The plan no longer seems to provide the same value it once did. There are more limitations, less is being covered, and the reimbursement amounts have been much lower than I expected, especially considering the premiums and veterinary expenses I am paying out of pocket. When a plan is advertised as providing up to 90% reimbursement, a pet owner reasonably expects the coverage to reflect that after the applicable deductible and covered expenses. Instead, I have paid hundreds of dollars in veterinary bills only to receive a very small portion back. At this point, I am questioning whether this insurance is worth maintaining. Pets Best used to be a company I felt confident recommending based on my previous experience, but the coverage and overall value today do not seem comparable to what they once were. I am extremely disappointed with how much the insurance has changed and how little assistance it now seems to provide when veterinary care is actually needed.”

“So easy to file a claim! Very quick reimbursement directly to my account. I've also used their 24 hour service serveral times. The techs who staff the calls are responsive, caring and very knowledgable. I get a follow up email the next day. What a terrific service!”

“My dogs have been covered since 2019. Thankfully, until a few weeks ago, I never had a claim. My Morkie spent 4 days in the hospital but thankfully she recovered. The claim was simple and I will continue recommend Pets Best.”

“I have had this insurance for my two dogs since they were puppies, and they are seven and 10 years old. I have never had a problem with them reimbursing me for any of my dogs vet bills. Insurance price, however, has skyrocketed in the past year where I am paying well over 2k for each dog. I find that to be abusive. With them both having pre-existing conditions, I am stuck without being able to switch insurances.”

“I've had issues with extreme wait times with claims and silly battles over coverage but ultimately Pets Best has always done right by me and covered legitimate claims. While I haven't quite gotten payment yet, my most recent claim was processed in under 2 days which is awesome!”

“In general they do honor what ever plan you select for your pet. However I have now had several times where they contact me saying that they have not received medical records from my vet for a specific claim. Having worked with the same vet for over 30 years I am always confident that the records have been sent. Eventually they have an automation which sends an email giving you 2 days to get the records to them otherwise the claim will be closed. It is very frustrating and feels like threat. Everytime I have called I get someone with a foreign accent who I can barely understand. I wouldn't recommend Pets Best because of this.”

“This is the first time I have purchased pet insurance despite having pets for decades. When our dog got very sick with pancreatitis last month, I submitted the multiple emergency vet bills through the app, expecting to be denied coverage because insurance companies are notorious for finding loopholes. I am relieved to say that they lived up to the contract and I recovered about 63% of our $4,200 of expenses in emergency vet expenses (we had a $1,000 deductible and 90% reimbursement). It gives me peace of mind to have this policy so that I don't have to worry as much about choosing between my pet's health and my financial stability.”

“So freaking expensive and the rates keep getting more expensive. Even with the best coverage, their coverage is not even that great. Imagine the money they are making off of the excess. Will definitely need to find a new provider. Even with a second pet, the discount they give is so small.”
