“I pay all this money and when I put in a claim it almost never paid or poorly paid. I have the wellness and emergency care plan. I wonder if I am just wasting my money. And yes I know there is a deductible and yes I have met it. I spent $352 the other day. Got 80 back.”

“Pets Best insurance is overall good but I am not happy with their wellness plan coverage. I have been using Pets Best insurance for the fifth year now. I understand the insurance rates will go up every year which is normal but the wellness plan benefit coverage had stay the same at $305 since 2021. Due to inflation, the costs for annual visit, vaccines, flick/tick prevention, sample exams, etc. have all gone up year over year. I have talked to the customer service several times for them to review with the corporate and increase the benefit coverage but had not seen any changes. Please review and adjust the benefit coverage. Thank you.”

“Pets Best has been good about refunds of vet bills and that is greatly appreciated. I am, however, a little disappointed in the large increase in the monthly premium but my little dog is now seven years old so will most likely maintain this insurance.”

“Now that I have a sick dog, I realize the numerous exceptions. The vet visits to see a sick puppy are not covered, even though the insurance is supposed to cover illness. What??? And for the things that are covered, only 80% of that costs is applied to the deductible instead of 100%. Insurance for people does not work that way, so why is pet insurance following a different--and therefore deceptive--model? I have continually tried to add my credit card for reimbursement, and I continually receive an error.”

“I have been a customer of Pets Best Pet Health Insurance for a couple of years now. I'm very satisfied with this insurance. Originally I was insuring one dog but we adopted another dog a year or so later and got a policy for her as well. My only complaint is a problem I had with billing. My insurance was offered as a benifit by my employer in the beginning. Premium payments were made thru payroll deductions. When I retired I took over payment of premiums by automatic deductions from my bank account. On the second month of those payments an amount significantly larger than my scheduled payment was deducted from my account without any prior notice to me. I just happened to catch the deduction by checking my bank account. After checking with Pet's Best, I found it to be a legitimate fee. However, I really feel I should have been notified before this fee was deducted. I was well over the monthly deduction I had agreed to. If I hadn't caught this, I would have incurred overdraft fees from my bank. I promptly switched my method of payment to monthly billing to be paid by check or credit card. I expect that will take care of this issue. That being said, I am still quite happy with Pet's Best Insurance for both my dogs.”

“It works for my purposes. I basically got it for help with extraodinary events such as an accident or serious illness. I am pleased that it covered a good amount of the dental surgery.”

“Claim took over a month to process and benefits were not explained properly. Things that are explained as covered fully are actually covered up to a specific amount. Vet bills were over 1400 and only got 900 back, even though the coverage I pay for says 90% reimbursement. The app needs to be updated to show clearly how much is actually covered, including copays and deductibles as well as limits of coverage because it's very unclear as it is and there's hardly any information.”

“Overall insurance is helpful, I never want to have to use it because it means I’m at the vet but when something goes wrong it always gets expensive so this is very helpful. The wellness plan I’m not totally sold on. Would be more helpful if you could use that money towards anything on that list up the maximum value. Costs in my area are no where near what that covers.”
