My pet is covered for 80%. However, EVERY TIME I SUBMIT A CLAIM, I get an email, sorry for the delay! It's at least 3 weeks for a claim to be processed. As soon as I submit a claim, I get an email that my claim has been received.

I am highly concerned about skyrocketing pet insurance premiums and understated benefits and reimbursements. I urge about the reduction of the monthly premiums and more reimbursements.

It takes a long time to get reimbursed. I talked to other friends who have pet insurance and they get reimbursed immediately or the vet bill gets paid immediately and directly to the veterinarian. There are no forms to fill out. There is no jumping through hoops to get the reimbursement. I would like to set that up with pets best as well. I don't want to keep filling out forms and downloading and waiting only to find out, Sorry that wasn't covered.

It use to be fantastic but now - well my dogs claim has gone from 60 -129 a month and I have had this dog for several years. At least 5 years on the plan. I had them go back and look. I have not used the insurance one time. Was told it was her age. So once again had to increase the deductible to 600 dollars. And that’s with having 4 other dogs with them as well. Then I need to call and get a new ip address every time I try to log in. Today was the 4 time - waste of my time. So it’s a shame. Like everything else you guys have gone down hill. Plus I wait longer and longer to get reimbursed. No wonder so many dogs are in the shelter and people euthanize for not much medical. Oh and you rarely ever cover my dogs with extractions for dentals. It’s sad. Went down hill.

They have been good at paying out claims. However, they are not honest about giving multi pet discounts.

took a long time for the claim to be determined. Then couldn't figure out why last time I purchased the flea and tick meds, they paid 75%;but this time they paid nothing. Go figure. Needless to say, not a very satisfied customer right now and am looking for alternatives.

Coverage is not great and the costs keep going up and up. I have shopped around and most pet insurance companies are not as good as pets Best so I continue to stay with them

After using Pets Best for several years for three different animals, I have always experienced quick turn-around times with reimbusements until March 2025. My last few claims took a month to be reimbursed. Not sure why such a delay, even received emails acknowledging the delay. I understand more detailed claims taking longer when more medical information is required, but this was not my situation. Simple kennel cough with a puppy.

Spend a lot of money on keeping my pets health insurance and my pets care but not much in return when submitting a claim .

When my dog was a puppy it was amazing. All his appointments were covered and the cost balanced out. The piece of mind knowing if my puppy got hurt and it was covered was great. Now that he’s older (6) the cost is higher and what they cover seems to be a lot less and it doesn’t balance out. Not sure if I’ll be keeping it.

The coverage is good as we’ve never had an issue with a claim getting paid. What we have had an issue with is a claim taking a long time to get paid. A simple $98 claim took 3 weeks. I can’t imagine how long a $9,800 claim would take. I wish the claim processing was quicker.

The customer service is great and the claim submission process itself is really easy to do. I do feel like reimbursement is slow (it seems to take weeks as a standard) and I’m continuously needing to re-upload the same medical records with every claim, which seems redundant.

Ever since the company was sold, the time to turn around a claim has increased, the app glitches out half the time and premiums continue to increase.

Pet's Best is an okay insurance. My reasons for not giving a 5 star begin with re-payment from a submitted claim. I have a different insurance for my dog and within 1-2 days, the reimbursement reaches my bank account. That is super fast plus super easy to send the statement from vet. All I do is forward to my insurance company. With Pet's Best, they have forms that need to be filled out plus the vet bill. Takes forever to fill the form rather than just send the copy of the vet bill to them. Secondly, it took 3 weeks to get my reimbursement, which has not entered my bank yet. I just feel that is a little much. If they would just allow to send a copy of the bill without all the form paperwork, it may speed up their processing. I would think when they look at the bill you can tell what each charge was. To be honest, I probably would have gone with the same company as my dog except they changed what you can do. Right now I have $100 deductible, 90% reimbursement, unlimited coverage. The other company does not offer those coverages any longer. One other BIG issue, when I got my kitten, he came from the Ukraine, Kyiv, an active war zone. He arrived in LA during the worst wildfires in their history and my kitty was there for another 3 days in red zone breathing/air. When I got him, I had 7 days to see a vet to be sure he was healthy in case I had to return him. He had a bronchial issue and one eye seemed congested and was weeping. When I took out this insurance for him, they automatically implied he had a pre-existing brochial and eye problem so that anything that may affect either,later on, would not be covered. My vet sent an appeal letter stating it was most likely enviromental due to the war zone air as well as LA air from fires. It has never presented itself since January, 2025, which is when I got him. Whomever read the letter from my vet denied the appeal. No explanation other than it was denied. I thought they at least would have explained "why" it was denied. That in itself was enough for me to change companies which I may in the future.

Hardly anything is covered and I feel like the only time this is useful is for emergencies or accidents.
