They need to work on their portal, constantly having issues with it. Sometimes when you call you have to wait 45 minutes or longer to speak to someone. They seem disorganized if you email a claim, but when the portal is not available you have no choice to email your information, but it seems like they don't see it and then close the claim. Then you have to start all over and resubmit the claim all over again. Some people on the phone are very nice but I have spoke to a couple of people that were down right rude. Its a insurance company and they do what they possibly can to not pay a claim.

For what it covers it's easy to submit a claim. But for the price I would hope it paid more of the costs. I had to max out our Care Card to pay for our dog. Doesn't seem right.

The employees are patient and clear when I call, and the app is convenient, but I have yet to see any evidence that Pets Best actually pays out for claims. My first claim was filed a year ago and they are exceptionally slow to process, especially when there is an error because the app doesn’t provide details when claims are rejected.

The wait time is extra long when filing a claim for a response.

We switched to Pet’s Best as it was recommended by my spouse’s job. We have 2 dogs. We chose Pet’s Best because after much research, it was one of very few companies with an unlimited policy, $500 deductible and 90% reimbursement. We find the claim process and reimbursement much slower than our prior insurance. They never process a claim immediately. When you check, it always says processing and after 2 weeks it always says need additional records. This was never the case with our prior insurance. We pay our premium on time. They need to speed up their process.

Customer Service wait time are over 15-20 sometimes 30 minutes, then to get someone that you cannot understand. I had to ask for Supervisor because the person on the phone could not answer ANY of my questions. I have been with PETSBEST for over 8 years and it was never this way before.

To be honest I am not satisfied with Pets Best it’s doesn’t cover much, I am paying $54/month. We only take the dog for his wellness check once or maybe 2 visits a year, if we add up what we oat in insurance verses what the vet bill is. We ended paying more in insurance than vet bill. For example we took him in for wellness check last week, we paid $460 and were only reimbursed $135 but I hav3 paid $648 insurance all year.

While I like Pets Best insurance they are very inconsistent with their reimbursement, one time it’s this and the next time for the exact procedure is another amount.

Pets Best has covered most of my dogs expenses. The insurance company only covers one (1) flea/tick medication claim per year. Why? Dogs need flea medication 4 times a year. It doesn't make any sense. Rewrite your policy to allow the medication every quarter. I am actively looking for a new insurance carrier. I work for an insurance company. Their master policy doesn't have one time fees.

Very disappointed and thinking of canceling. I was under the impression that it paid for items not paid on my latest bills and meds. Called and 20 min wait.

I really love Pets Best. After looking through multiple insurances again when I added a new puppy over the summer, I still believe Pets Best overs the best insurance policy out there. The reason I can’t give it a 5/5 is the processing time is just too long. Sometimes it’s quick 1-2 weeks. Other times it can be over a month. When you have ongoing appointments, it’s hard to make decisions for what’s right for your pet if you don’t know if the insurance will cover it. I lost $1k because I continued to do appointments like always (over a year of these same appointments 2x a week) and pets best decided that something wasn’t covered. I didn’t know until 6 weeks after. Going forward, I will tell my vet we can’t do certain things because it’s not what’s best for him. Who knew stretching and massage wasn’t covered for PT for dogs. I’m glad it’s covered for humans when we need it…

My experience with Pets Best insurance claims has been variable. I purchased their rehab coverage and now have a dog who needs regular rehab due to arthritis. The claim process was smooth at first, but now they sometimes deny a claim that has the exact same procedures done as previous claims that were covered. When a claim is denied I have to call for a review and then it is most often covered in full. The incosistency with the claims process has been frustrating. I'm hoping this can be remedied.

Their ability to process claims in a fair and timely manner is pretty bad . I get it. I'm sure there is a law that gives them a period of time by which they must reply. But they take they to the max. Many times weeks later to give you a status.

Overall, ok experience, but claims often denied because original invoice from vet has other stuff that I’m not trying to get reimbursement. I’m pro it because in required too. It’s tiring having to send the same invoice every month to get reimbursed for meds.

There is a long wait time between submitting a claim and learning of the decision. Every time there is an email reading sorry for the delay.

First claim went well. 2 weeks to approve, a week to reimburse. Just sucks that private equity and insurance is what's making vetcare costs skyrocket to the point of needing the insurance. Nevermind the fact you still have to pay up front before being reimbursed.
