New Customer been with Pets Best for approx. 6 months. I was shocked that it took over a month for my vet bill to be reviewed and reinbursement paid. The amount reinbursed was not even close to what I thought it would be $600 dollar bill and they paid out only a third of the total.

Pets Best has been okay for us as a family. We take our dog to the vet for wellness and had a dental removal that we paid for up front and they mostly covered on the back end. Recently, our dog was diagnosed with low thyroid levels, which is covered by this insurance. We have to pay for it up front though and wait for the company to let us know what they cover. The explanation of benefits is not simple enough to understand and so I just wait for the reimbursement/payment and compare it to the EOB. The thing that I detested this year was a $50 dollar a month jump in cost for coverage. There was not a good explanation as to why the price rose so much so quickly.

Very slow and honestly my paperwork says they cover 150 for spay and they only paid 128. App is garbage, crashes constantly or does the spinning circle and you have to relogin on every screen. I finally just started using web page.

It's certainly not the worst insurance, and it's good to have for the most important thing in our lives. BUT it would be nice if it covered some things that to each individual dog ARE a necessity. The amount it covers for wellness visits is ...also not great, and it doesnt cover a lot of vaccinations that are recommended. BUT it's good to have in emergencies.

While the plan offers the coverage, copay and deductible I needed the amount of time it takes for claims to be reviewed and paid is significantly longer than other providers I have had in the past. It results in my having to move money around to pay credit cards (to not incur interest) which is an ongoing issue every time I submit a claim. Other providers reimburse with a week or 2 at the latest but Pets Best consistently takes 4-6 weeks to reimburse claims. Also this survey asks questions regarding "delivery" items which doesn't seem applicable. You may want to review the optional survey questions.

As read in several blogs and previous reviews from other persons, my first claim was denied based on that the condition "existed before the policy enter into effect"

On the plus side, good coverage and prompt claims processing. Unfortunately, two out three claims in the past six months were not fully processed. Whole invoices and receipts were missed. This seems to require a review or appeal process, which seems to take much longer.

The claim approval process takes too long. Also, the funds take forever to arrive to your bank. I’ve never seen an electronic payment take so long! Disappointing

Easy to access, customer service very good. Not happy with return on my money. I pay over $60 a month to only get back $120 on a $600 invoice. May rethink staying a customer

Up until now they’ve been great. However, this last claim I had for a relatively simple rabies shot took almost a month to get reimbursed for, and the only explanation I got was a “backup of claims.” Which in this day and age is just simply unacceptable.

for as much as we are paying in, sure doesnt seem to cover much for routine shots and appts. In two years the monthly premium has doubled but the benefits have stayed the same and not covered more w the raise in premium. Communication is usually good and claims take about a week or so to process. Pets Best was recommended to me by a friend who uses it and she did a lot of research, as did I as well. Thought was the way to go, but didnt expect premium to double after just 2yrs and benefits not increase w that.

I'm confused and dissapointed at the payment of my dogs last claim. It was for Vet Bahavoral services for my puppy. First I had to submit so much information over weeks of waiting. I felt like I wasn't trusted with my claim and that I had in fact paid. It shouldn't be so difficult to get a claim paid. I also don't understand the deductible, co-pay etc. Just really dissappointed!

In theory, the plan we have is great. We’ve had it since our puppy was 3 months old, he is now 2.5 years. No pre-existing conditions. We had to use it this month for the first time on an emergency basis. Specialty Dr after specialty Dr. to try to figure out what is wrong. Petsbest is taking extremely long giving us back our money. I don’t understand why it is taking so long since we’ve had it for so long with no pre-existing conditions.
