Easy to access, customer service very good. Not happy with return on my money. I pay over $60 a month to only get back $120 on a $600 invoice. May rethink staying a customer

Up until now they’ve been great. However, this last claim I had for a relatively simple rabies shot took almost a month to get reimbursed for, and the only explanation I got was a “backup of claims.” Which in this day and age is just simply unacceptable.

for as much as we are paying in, sure doesnt seem to cover much for routine shots and appts. In two years the monthly premium has doubled but the benefits have stayed the same and not covered more w the raise in premium. Communication is usually good and claims take about a week or so to process. Pets Best was recommended to me by a friend who uses it and she did a lot of research, as did I as well. Thought was the way to go, but didnt expect premium to double after just 2yrs and benefits not increase w that.

I'm confused and dissapointed at the payment of my dogs last claim. It was for Vet Bahavoral services for my puppy. First I had to submit so much information over weeks of waiting. I felt like I wasn't trusted with my claim and that I had in fact paid. It shouldn't be so difficult to get a claim paid. I also don't understand the deductible, co-pay etc. Just really dissappointed!

I am highly concerned that PetsBest refused to reimburse me on some payment transactions. Unfair mistreatment and asset losses!

In theory, the plan we have is great. We’ve had it since our puppy was 3 months old, he is now 2.5 years. No pre-existing conditions. We had to use it this month for the first time on an emergency basis. Specialty Dr after specialty Dr. to try to figure out what is wrong. Petsbest is taking extremely long giving us back our money. I don’t understand why it is taking so long since we’ve had it for so long with no pre-existing conditions.

Our dog recently had his yearly check-up with vaccines & blood work. Very upset some of the vaccines were not covered because his appt. this year was 2 days short of a year from his appt last year. Only appt we could get before leaving to travel for 6 weeks. He needed his vaccines before we left. Two days shy and some things were not covered! Premiums a bit expensive to not have things covered on a technicality. Very disappointed in Pets Best Insurance.

I was missing information in my claim sent recently and instead of reaching out for it, it was not processed correctly. Because it also has been taking so long to process claims, it took about two months to get reimbursed.

I think the coverage is quite good but the claims department is extremely difficult to work with. If there is information needed to complete the submission they send out a form letter that does not state was is needed. It took me 2 months, 5 phone calls and many submissions to complete my last claim. They were asking for information I had never needed to provide in the past. I was ready to cancel and find a different company. The form letter needs to be eliminated and replaced with a personal and specific message.

After purchasing Pets Best the coverage has become less and less and I spend half my time disputing the claims becasue they keep saying "pre-existing" even when my vet is very clear that it is not.

I’ve had Pets Best Pet Insurance for about three years now. If you understand how insurance works and take the time to read your policy, it works as expected. I haven't had an instance where I questioned the Explanation of Benefits. I love that I can customize plans for each of my four dogs, allowing me to build the right coverage based on their individual needs. I’ve never been more grateful for pet insurance, as I’ve had to use it multiple times for large, unexpected bills. However, I’m giving it 3 stars for two reasons. First, I find that it takes a couple of weeks for claims to be processed, which can be difficult if you’re facing a procedure that requires a significant upfront payment. Second, my reimbursement method wasn’t working correctly. I had CareCredit set as the default method and my bank account as the secondary option. A representative essentially gaslit me, insisting I was doing something wrong. I’ve worked in software technology for 30 years, and I can assure you the issue was on their website. I let it go during that call, but for the next claim I submitted, I took screenshots of every step. The initial Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showed CareCredit as the reimbursement method. However, when I went back to double-check, it had switched to my bank account. I later discovered that both of my reimbursement methods had somehow been marked as primary. I’m not sure how that scenario passed testing—one would assume the system should prevent more than one method from being set as primary. To resolve the issue, the next rep had to remove my bank account entirely. I was also told over the phone that they have no way of reporting website issues to the IT department, which is frustrating and concerning.

Decent just in case insurance to have. Wish they covered more for the yearly vet check ups though. The claims process can also be a pain occasionally.

For some reason it took a very long time for my claim to be processed. I still haven’t received my reimbursement for my pet’s visit. Fortunately I had just enough money in my checking account to pay my rent. So now I only have $1.02 left to pay the rest of my bills.
