“Worst false marketing I’ve ever seen. Put in a claim for 1000 and all I get back is 200?? What a scam you all are. Months of premiums and you have the nerve to charge co pays on top of deductibles. Shame on you and your whole damn company. I’ll not be this stupid next time.”

“This company will nickel and dime you for everything that you have. Honestly, I wish I could get rid of them and go to someone else who doesn’t raise prices on you constantly and denies out things that are part of your plan.”

“Extreme delay in reimbursing for legitimate and fully docuemtned claims. Despite two time-consuming phone calls to customer service, the delay was extended with unnecessary requests for more documentation, wasting myveterinarian's time because all records had been submitted. Then denial of the oral assessment part of tooth removal, even though the dogs teeth were not cleaned, which was the jsutification. THREE WEEKS wait for reimbursement. Pets Best claims 25 days is typcial. Healthy Paws paid all my bills in 24-48 HOURS. Trupanion pays instantly. This must be why Pets Best rates are so much lower than others?”

“I'd rather save my money than use Pets Best. Took 7 weeks for them to process my claim. I sent medical records and they kept asking for the same medical records. After multiple phone calls, they finally processed my claim. Guess what? I only got $65 out of the $700+ claim I submitted. I just started laughing”

“I have had this plan for 26 years I have never had this many problems not getting reimbursed until the lat 6 months I have an old plan but the claims adjuster doesn't understand it and is putting the wrong conditions of my claims which is costing me money (I pay $210 per month) and aggravation. For example for cushings disease meds (that I knew was maxed out he labeled it under the condition of Heart Disease. He calls atopy/allergies for Phemigus ( like a autoimmune disease) under a different label. He takes dedutibles on the same meications but call it different conditions.. When they sold me this plan I understood I have a $2500 max per incident or condition..He is not understanding the policy and making it up. I have sent him multiiple appeals and in response he sent me one letter naming many claim number bunched together which is difficult to decipher I am very upset . Rosalyn Dorenter Policy # 101905756. “I pay all this money and when I put in a claim it almost never paid or poorly paid. I have the wellness and emergency care plan. I wonder if I am just wasting my money. And yes I know there is a deductible and yes I have met it. I spent $352 the other day. Got 80 back.”

“Rates! Rates! Rates! The service is standardt in the industry. Not the best, not the worst, but the jump of paying $89.06 to $168.91 with an 89% increase is outrageous! There was no significant changes on our pets health history and/or inflation rates that can justify such an increase. Is nothing but plain Price gouging!”

“Poor coverage. Minimal payout on claim. My advice to anyone looking into this "health insurance" for your pet, start a savings account instead. High deductible and there is a co-pay on top of the deductible.”

“Pets Best covers the bare minimum for my pet. I pay for the Wellness package and the Accident/Injury plan. I have a reasonable deductible, but like any scammy insurance company, Pets Best finds reasons to deny certain claims, such as 3 year dose rabies vaccine because their plan only covers a small portion of a 1 year dose rabies vaccine. I would not recommend Pets Best to friends or family, and I am considering shopping around for a more modern pet insurance that will meet the needs of our family.”

“Insurance didn't cover one cent of my fur baby's surgery (bladder stones). I never had pet Insurance before and since my job offered it I thought it would help if anything would happen. Not the case. Now I have canceled and now they say I owe them $101.00. Did not work for me.”

“Horrible horrible horrible experience… do not recommend this insurance company… false advertisement for the claim processing time . Paying for 4 years and the first time my dog was sick and I submitted claims did not receive any compensation for more than 25+ days (still waiting) . Scam artists… do not recommend this company…”

“I chose pets best pet health insurance because of reviews I saw regarding them being great with rescue animals. I have taken my dog to the vet, a handful of times and have barely received any reimbursement on bills. I had to argue with them on one claim because they were not going to provide reimbursement due to lack of previous medical bills. I asked how am I supposed to provide previous medical bills if the dog is a rescue to which I got no response. I am not pleased with them and I’ve started looking at other potential pet health insurance carriers.”
