Low coverage and high premium. Dog had an accident and needed dental care. My premium then DOUBLED. Had this for about a year and I didn’t do the math but I think I payed in more than I got out. I genuinely would not recommend.

I spend a lot of money on my three dogs. I have been sending in my claims so I can reimbursed. I have used Vetco. They gave me a receipt that is itemized, and the claims keeps getting rejected. Why am I spending money each month to get rejected? The purpose for me getting insurance for my three pets was to get reimbursed when I take my pets to the vet. I am looking for other insurance companies so I can switch. Also, I have been telling friends and family members about the terrible service I have been receiving.

It is terrible. They do not rimbuse like any of the other pet insurance companies. That is why the cost is less the others. I chect wi 5 companies and they all reimbursement by iindustry standards. Don’t use them they rip of customers

Every year I have to do my annual checkups and every year I get an EOB stating they wont cover it because I already exhausted the coverage. I keep trying to space these appointments OVER a year apart and yet somehow they still wont cover it so idk... not the best insurance and I am not happy with their coverage or handling of my claims. I'm sure there are better out there and will be researching this and probably switching. Out of a $690 vet bill for updated shots and a checkup for 2 pets, they maybe covered about $200 even though I signed up for the 70% coverage tier.

when I first call pets best health insurance, the experience was good. All the information that I was given was the best however, once I started submitting claims, none of the claims were approved when I would call they would give me the round around saying please check the EOB, you will be able to find out why your claim was denied, paying my monthly plan premium for a couple of months for nothing. This insurance is worthless

Sorry but Ith was disappointed that nothing was paid on my recent claim for Parker's routine wellness exam. Probably wtrong, but I thought some things were covered for her exam last year. I will continue with Pets Best for now, but will probably be looking at other companies. Sorry

Not an insurance I'd recommend to people. The renewal fee is insane. I have a different insurance for my other pet cost is more affordable with more benefits. Also easier to submit claims directly from the hospital.

I waited a long time to receive a response from my first ever claim. And, the claim only referenced our urgent care visit - not the $2600 emergency surgery same day receipt. And - the funds from what they DID approve have not appeared in my account (4 days later via direct deposit). Pets best was recommended to me by a vet So far, I am not impressed with Pet’s Best! I have filed a new claim for the surgery, and if this is all resolved I will update this review for the positive.

Worst insurance, never sends payment. Not transparent about their process. Denies anything just to deny it, doesn’t even read attached documents or review cases, automatically deny but still bill you for your monthly payments. They take payments on time every month but will never cover a claim on time and reply to you diligently and accurately. Do not recommended for any pet owners ever.

They don’t cover anything for Addison’s disease. My pet was insured before diagnosis. They don’t care about pets or people. It’s all about money. They sell a terrible product.

They do not cover any dental surgery due to infection. My dog had a thorough cleaning before the surgery and because they were not put under general anesthesia for their cleaning, their surgery was not covered. Makes no sense. And what they do cover is an extremely low reimbursement.

They have suddenly raised my rates to an absorbent amount. We are trying to find another company that will not exclude pre-existing conditions, but given the industry, that is difficult. This is why we did our research when our dog was a puppy and we signed up… we thought we had found a good company, but that is not the case. We have not moved, go to the same vets, and have the same dog as when we signed up, so all of that should be considered when they give you the initial quote instead of price gouging us when we are five years in and have no options to change. I understand reasonable increases, but these are not reasonable. Now we are either stuck canceling our pet insurance altogether, risking pre-existing conditions not being covered, or having to pay this rate which has MORE THAN DOUBLED since we signed up. Over $400 a month for one dog! Went up $200 since last year. I called to inquire, and even the person I spoke to said, Wow, that’s a lot. But she could not do anything to help us unless we wanted to reduce our coverage and increase our deductible. This is not good business practice, and I am truly hoping to find a new company to switch to. Will not be signing our next dog up with Pet’s Best.

It takes too long to get paid. And the coverage is minimal. I pay almost $98 a month for the past year and a half and all I get is $80 back in my dogs $540 bill. Ridiculous. I might as well not even get the $80 back. Coverage needs to be better.
