“The claims processing is pretty easy and fast. It slows down if there is an item on the invoice that is not covered. All in all, good pet insurance. But I will note that our insurance premium increased dramatically two years ago.”

“I had to submit my first claim and from the time I submitted it to when I got reimbursed it was about less than 2 weeks. Fairly quick process. The app was somewhat glitchy. I kept getting an error that it wasn’t submitted and then it actually submitted 3x. The process itself to submit was easy. Just had to upload itemized receipt. I was disappointed to know that it didn’t cover meds because that’s a big chunk of money when pets are sick but I guess it’s better than nothing”

“Coverage is very expensive as your pet gets older. Claims are easy to file and depending on your coverage and deductibles payments are returned fairly quickly. Any time I have called on phone associates have been efficient and helpful. Whenever possible I have found it helpful to confirm coverage with Pets Best of any testing, treatment, or medication recommended by your vet.”

“The research was worth it. No pet insurance is perfect, but Pets Best is the best that exists. They pay exactly what they say they well (read your policy and get your policy before you bring home your pet!!!). They have saved me almost $20k in the first year of having my pet due to unexpected and now chronic illnesses and then didn’t raise my premiums for renewal by a single cent. They are kind, helpful, easy to talk to but they are low tech and not reachable 24/7. If you have patience and can carry a credit card balance this is for you. Sometimes it takes just two days for me to get reimbursed and other times it takes over three weeks. Their app is not super efficient and often has error messages or crashes. But you can just email them instead. Know your priorities— a reliable company that has been around for long enough for me to trust them (and that they won’t just sell to the highest bidder in 2 years unlike so many other pet insurances), who you don’t have to fight with to get paid correctly, whose premiums don’t triple in a single year (looking at you, Healthy Paws- yikes!) were my priorities. I can handle the rest in exchange for an honest company with integrity and good customer service. Two of my friends now have it and also love it thanks to my hard earned research. Stay with whatever company you pick for the life of your pet. So choose wisely!”

“I have noticed a definitle improvement in the claims review process time and I really appreciate it. Overall I recommend Pets Best to friends and family, although I have experienced some inconsistencies with the monthly charges and annual increases between the two underwriters Pets Best uses for some of our animals who have been on the insurance plan longer versus our newer additions, which I find frustrating.”
