“This is my first time having pet insurance and we ended up needing it after our car got attacked. I submitted the claim the weekend of 3/2 and got notification it was being paid on 3/24. The breakdown of what was being paid and why was very clear and easy to understand. My only critique is I qoupd have appreciated a more upfront estimate timeline so I knew how long to expect to wait regarding a decision on approval or not.”

“Payments are as stated in plans but may take a while to be processed. We have a senior dog now age 14. The rates get increasing much more each year unfortunately.”

“As a veterinarian I knew I need insurance on my Labrador puppy. Predictably, just after his first birthday he helped himself and my Cavalier to an entire bottle of NSAIDs. After a couple of days of treatment at my favorite ER they were very lucky to come home with their kidneys intact. It was easy to submit the paperwork to Pets Best and I expect the reimbursement any day now. It was so reassuring to know Maverick had coverage.”

“Response time for claims can be improved. A year ago it was very fast and fast forward a year later it’s pretty inconsistent, ranges from a week to upwards of over a month or so. Reasonable coverage overall though.”

“I forgot to submit past expense, so submitted it with a new occurrence. It was processed quickly and money was deposited into my account in a timely manner. I would love to have preventative expenses included but felt extra expense was not worth it.”

“There were several times when my claim was not approved, but it was processed after submitting the forms, and I am very satisfied 👍. The only drawback is that the review time is a little long.”

“Pets Best offers a commendably seamless claims process, with the convenience of direct reimbursement to your bank account. It's a relief not to deal with paper checks, though reimbursement does take upwards of 4-6 weeks, which is the only downside. Despite the delay in reimbursement, their seamless process makes managing pet insurance claims a breeze.”

“Extremely fast communication and payouts. Overall payout versus deductables continues to shrink but the service is great, which puts Pets Best far above most other companies.”

“I'm happy to have the insurance as my service dog was using it pretty much immediately with a tummy bug, in addition to her annual wellness exam. One of the only downsides so far is that it takes quite a long time to actually get reimbursed.”

“Honestly surprised and happy with how good this insurance is. I do have unlimited 90% reimbursement plan and I went three years without needing it “thankfully” so when it came time to actually use it I was nervous about how well it would work. We’ll let me tell you it has been a saving grace while dealing with one of our cats having pancreatic cancer, last thing we needed was to worry about financing to treat them. That said nearly everything has been covered other then some supplements and claims tend to process fast. I’ve had claims process in a few hours and some that have taken almost a month and a half, again seemingly with no rhyme or reason. 4/5 only due to some extreme claim processing times greater than a month.”

“I like Pets Best unlimited coverage. I have all 3 of my dogs covered. I like their polite customer service representatives. Whether by phone or chat everyone is always very courteous and helpful. One aspect that I am disappointed with is that it continues to take so long for my claim settlements and reimbursements. Even when my claim gets approved I receive notice that 5-7 days for my reimbursement to show up in my account with direct deposit. I have insurance to help pay Vet bills and almost 3 weeks to get reimbursed is a long time. Maybe that's standard for all pet insurance companies, I don't know. But I do wish turn around time was faster.”

“I turned in a claim on 2-29-24 and it still hasn't be processed. Usually it is only 3-4 days for processing.”
