The best pet health insurance I've owned. Having prescription drugs covered is a huge benefit. The coverage is clearly stated and response to claim submission is fast. Could improve phone access when questions surface

Very happy with insurance for several years. Not happy with the huge increase in monthly cost. Oldest dog’s premium DOUBLED for this year. I expect it to increase with age, but DOUBLE?!?! When you have 3 dogs with insurance and one premium doubles…ouch! I had to double the deductible just to get the price down so I could afford insurance for all 3 again this year. Adjusting the deductible still puts me at $570/mo. Processing claims used to be timely. Not anymore. It takes quite some time to get reimbursed, which stinks (especially when they are BIG vet bills). I have recommended this pet insurance to many. Along with the recommendation I prepare them for pricey premiums (this year’s increase was absurd) and not-so-timely reimbursements. Wait time to speak to someone can take some time also. Once I do get someone from customer service, it’s always been a good experience.

It took a bit longer than I expected to get the claim processed and reviewed, but in the end the did a nice job and I’m sticking with them.

I purchased a policy for my dogs years ago. It was great! Great customer service, great claim processing time, and good rates. Now the rates have significantly increased (they increase annually), within this year the rate nearly doubled. I can not tell you how many times I have recieved that letter stating they are sorry, the claim is taking longer to process....I have not spoke with customer service in years - last time I did it was about the rate increase and of course they stated it is due to increased costs, state of the art medical equipment that vets are now using, which costs more, you know, the same excuses as any other insurance company. My vet is a county vet, who doesn't have all that equipment. Of course, my dogs are mid age now & if I were to look elsewhere, they would not cover pre-existing issues. Each year I wonder if this insurance is worth it any longer, as I pay about $300/month for 2 dogs.

It is easy to submit claims. The turnaround time on claims can sometimes be very long. Once or twice, it has taken multiple weeks, which would be stressful in an emergency situation. However, it is not usually that long and they are good about covering what they say they will.

I am very pleased with the quick turnaround of my claims. The premiums are a bit higher that I had hoped, but the claims are handled quickly.

The insurance and response to claims but the customer portal needs work. I started calling in February to report that I cannot access the portal to submit a claim. I have called a second time and was told that a trouble ticket was submitted. I still have no portal access. The only glitch in an impressive insurance program for our pet.

Pets Best was wonderful when one of our dogs needed hip surgery. They paid the claim without a problem. My concern now is the increase in their new rates.
