I have taken my dog to the vet for basic shots. And all pets best pays is 5.00 Not a happy customer.

The time it takes to process a claim is ridiculously long. It took almost a month to hear back from them processing the claim. I’m truly disappointed in the turn around time. It seems like there’s quite a few things they don’t cover but they’re no better than the Veterinarians who over charge ridiculously. I think the Insurance is probably only good for major procedures that cost quite a bit of money. But I could only imagine how long that would take to process.

Disappointed that all Gracie’s vaccines were not covered. Her wellness check was 200.00 and all that was paid was 80.00. That isn’t even 50%

They have been good at paying but this year my policy went from about $600 to about $1200 not very happy about that. I don't mind an increase but that hurt

I had high hopes because a neighbor had spoke positively of Pets Best. Unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing. Although we opted for the "premium" policy with broader coverage, we've found that it covers very little and the "allowed amounts" for permissible services are a mere fraction of what we're paying OOP. It's been nearly a month and I'm still waiting to hear back on a claim I filled. I will be cancelling my policy ASAP.

Claims take close to a month to process and they do not cover annual well visits and shots.

After hearing the turn around time for claim payment from friends with other companies, I would likely not recommend Pets Best. It took over 3 weeks for payment and I submitted electronically.

Normally pays very fast on my monthly claim for her allergies. REALLY disappointed it took almost a month for an unexpected vet visit.

They make the claims process as frustrating as humanly possible. They kept delaying my claims for vague reasons and they show you almost no information regarding your claims on the website, so if you have multiple claims, it is very difficult to keep track of them. Phone support is abysmal. I would rather pay out of pocket for vet expenses than even attempt to submit another claim through Pets Best insurance. I cancelled my policy after my first experience filing a claim.

Coverage is fine. No complaints on the customer service staff I’ve talked to. Overall it is a routine pet policy. My issue is that claims that are eligible are still taking about a month to process. I had to complain to get an eligible claim reimbursed. Any policy changes despite claim status for the policy term require cancel rewrites which means you are locked in to you plan if you have covered conditions. It is hard to speak with a person. Their claims department offers no option to pre-auth or review claim line items prior to large procedures so coverage is a guessing game. Another issue is the company thrives due to reaaaally low premiums at inception. Beware of the increase. It is standard in insurance to see increases over time due to pet’s age, breed, and location but these increases are beyond standard. I went from 60$ for two dogs and now I pay close to 160$ now. Again, for insurance this is fine but just know each year you will see a higher than average increase. Product works. I just wish there was more flexibility in terms of under writing request and claim handling.

They just recently forced clients to only submit one invoice-type document with claims, but that's not always best, as the claims reviewers appear to have 30 seconds to look over content. Even with including a note that said there was a separate deposit that occurred for a vet's therapy visit, and reiterating what the full total was, they still lowered the overall visit amount by the deposit amount in one instance, as if that deposit hadn't happened. So I had to follow up unnecessarily. And that's not the first time something has been overlooked. The reason for 2 stars is that the customer service reps are often as helpful as possible, though one was clearly taking out frustrations in general on a call, when I asked about how long a claim response to expect (she basically had the attitude that they had X number of days left before reaching the full limit of time allowed--a 30 day response is a pretty low standard to be applying as your Gold Standard). I am just starting to get reimbursements, and am hopeful things will be simpler moving forward, though not very sure.

Every claim I submit always has an an issue!! If the next one has an issue I will be switching insurance I never had A X zerothese issues with my last company I should have stayed worker them!! Claims were paid in 3 days not a month!!

Twenty one days since my dog's emergency visit and they just emailed me to tell me they needed more medical info from my Vet. This is taking much longer than it should.

Honestly, I've never had issues with getting my payment, but my goodness does it take forever. My dog has cancer, so her bills are very high, and on top of paying for them out of pocket to begin with, while waiting for repayment I'm paying interest on my credit card too for those large purchases because repayment takes forever. Seriously, you need to work faster at reimbursement.

This is insurance was okay. However, the amount they charge for pet insurance now is outrageous. And they dont everything. We used to pay 187.00 every 3 months. And now it's $506.04 everything 3 months with a 250.00 deductible that has to be met first. 187. 00 for 3 months was great. That's only $748.00 a year. Now $506.04 every 3 months is $2024.16. So, I now pay $1276.16. Like I said Outrageous. And they dont give quotes either.
