It's okay. Takes a long time for reimbursement and claims. Price is not worth it especially with deductible. Not much value in the plans.

Policy should be revised to better service the consumer(customers). Insurance should refund vet medical bills instead of saying that coverage is only 1 time reimbursement for the whole year. Doesn’t really makes sense for having insurance if we won’t get any reimbursement more than once.

I had such high hopes for this co. and wanted to rate them higher. But though they are very polite and patient they just didn't pay the cost of the claim I sent .I desperately need it and don't understand. Yet it took them over a month to come to that conclusion. One of the doctoctors said they had to send them the info 3 times.

The amount of time to be reimbursed is extremely long. At least twice I tried to explain that one of the things submitted was just an estimate and I was trying to get someone to call me with an approval or just let me know if it was covered or not, and I called twice And talked to two different people and it just came back as not covered. Also, there is no record of the deposit for the one item that was supposed to be covered in my bank account. I’m not sure if they sent it or if that is considered to be part of $1000 deductible. Again communication seems to be very poor.

They make it hard to get reimbursement. A routine wellness check invoice was submitted 3/14/25 and STILL want additional information? The vet has line items of all charges, routine shots, etc. This should be a simple process. I should have stayed with Nationwide after my employer dropped the plan and employees weren't receiving a discount any longer, i thought petsbest being about the same cost of discounted nationwide would be ok. Petsbest DID finally reimburse the heartworm meds that was invoiced separately.

I pay for wellness benefits and after going for my dogs annual physical, I only got reimbursed 1/4 of what I spent! $10-15 reimbursement for $50-$65 vaccines. Disappointed

Covered less than $300 on $1,600 surgery (with $1,000) deductible. Not worth the premium expense for this little coverage. Have policies on other dogs as well which we will likely cancel. Claim process is very slow too.

While I’m glad I have pet insurance… Claims take incredibly long to process compared to other competitors, such as embrace. Not to mention the astronomical price increases yearly. Started out paying $56 4 years ago and am now paying $120. I pay more in pet insurance for one dog than my own PPO health insurance.

So far, I'm not happy with my experience as they will not reimburse for the wellness visits since I am part of the VCA Care Club memebership. They don't show they won't reimburse for the costs until you have signed up for the higher plan.

Have had a policy for three months and submitted my first claim for reimbursement for an annual wellness visit. I had to call Pets Best to get the claim processed because it sat in “review” status for 2 weeks. When they finally processed the claim, they decided that the claim was actually for injury or illness, not an annual wellness visit, despite the fact that even the vet identified the visit as an annual wellness visit, and our cat was not diagnosed with or treated for any illness or injury during the visit. It took 4 additional calls to Pets Best to get them to correct the error.

The app seems to have glitches from time to time. When it does work, claims are easy to file, however, for healthy younger dogs I'm paying a lot for not much coverage. Probably won't continue much longer- I need to review the last year to decide how much it cost me.

Honestly wish that pets best would pay more out to its customers then not paying for there pets vet bills. Petsbest needs an improvement on what needs to be covered more especially on vaccinations for pets and also for stool examines for pets also. That's like over 70$ just for a stool sample which is highly expensive that vets charge for helping your pet and pets best won't cover it completely. Petsbest is ok but it needs some better improvements on coverage even since the cost of even owning a dog or cat is becoming more expensive. If PetsBest wants to keep make sure they will have customer support, they need to cover alot more and charge for something that petsbest will not cover.

Monthly price is probably the best on the market but they take way too long to process claims. I used to be covered by Nationwide and they would always reimburse me within 24-48 hours (although, for twice the cost each month). Under Pets Best, I submitted a claim after having to pay $13,000 for my cat's surgery and didn't get reimbursed for over 3 weeks. I even called twice and all they said was that they're processing a lot of claims right now. Expenses that large can be life ruining and waiting that long for the reimbursement is insane. I'm still waiting to get reimbursed for another $1000 visit a week and a half ago.

I’m not really sure what we are paying for. Regarding our most recent claim, we had a $1,000 bill from the vet, and our deductible is $500. We were only reimbursed $215… I’m glad to be reimbursed for anything, but I do not understand why the majority of the vet visit/bills were not covered.
