Many delays in processing claims. They need to hire more people. They are exceptionally expensive. They denied claims for my dog Rex who had heart murmur noted at 5 years old,and 6 years later the heart started to fail, and he was placed on drug Vetmedin which was $ 100 per month. He was euthanized at 11 y old this past Oct w respiratory failure and heart failure. They denied months of coverage on Vetmedin, and on appeal, denied it again even tho my vet wrote a letter. They stated that the heart murmur was preexisting, and thus, heart failure was pre existing. I am not happy with them. I cannot changed insurances because then my 2 other dogs would have all pre existing issues with a new insurance. My advice...use another insurance company.

Processing time is always well beyond the promised the window and they don’t cover many prescriptions

Not worth having. Waist of paying every quarterly. Deductible is high but policy don't cover nothing worth being reimbursed.👎🏾😣👎🏾😠

Reimbursements took forever to process. I had a high reimbursement rate but never received the amount expected it was always less. Sort of dissatisfied with it

Denied a visit to the emergency vet (which animal poison control advised) because my dog ended up not being sick. They are also extremely slow at processing claims. Do not recommend. I gave them two stars instead of one because they have covered most of her vet visits and medications, although it usually takes them a month to process a claim.

read the fine print on policy. switched to save a few dollars on premium, but the benefits were capped at line item levels. the app is less useful than our previous insurer as well. will likely change to another provider for renewal

Took a long time for a simple claim. App and portal could use some help. I have to login several times in the app just to see updates on my claim.

Their claims process is awful. Once you upload a receipt you get a window when the claim will be reviewed. My January claim wasn't decided on until late February even after requested medical records had been send both by my vet and myself. Customer service told me they would elevate the issue and I would receive a call or email back about my claim experience. Neither happened. They did however pay a claim for a recent surgery for my dog, but the claim review was delayed and I am waiting on the check.

Would not cover vaccinations on the Wellness plan because it stated that the vaccinations were given twice in one year. My dog had vaccinations on March 10, 2023. The yearly exam this year was on March 4, 2024. 6 days short of a year. I did not want the vaccinations to expire, and March 4th was when I could get an appointment. I am seriously thinking of terminating the Wellness Plan and maybe even changing pet insurance companies. Very disappointed!

My first actual claim I have submitted has been “in progress” for almost 3 weeks. Any wellness visit (that I pay extra for) has been paid out quickly, but the benefit limits are a joke $30 a year for heartworm meds?! That’s barely one month. Also the app is impossible to log in to. I only keep it because it’s what is offered through my job

For the amout of money we spend on this pet insurance, the reimbursement rate is low and the turn around time for the claims process is ridiculous long. I am in the process of looking for other options.

It’s been since February 22, 2024 and I’m still waiting for any updates of getting reimbursed. I made a phone call asking about the reimbursement and all they did was make a note that I called and said there’s been a delay.
