Honestly wish that pets best would pay more out to its customers then not paying for there pets vet bills. Petsbest needs an improvement on what needs to be covered more especially on vaccinations for pets and also for stool examines for pets also. That's like over 70$ just for a stool sample which is highly expensive that vets charge for helping your pet and pets best won't cover it completely. Petsbest is ok but it needs some better improvements on coverage even since the cost of even owning a dog or cat is becoming more expensive. If PetsBest wants to keep make sure they will have customer support, they need to cover alot more and charge for something that petsbest will not cover.

Monthly price is probably the best on the market but they take way too long to process claims. I used to be covered by Nationwide and they would always reimburse me within 24-48 hours (although, for twice the cost each month). Under Pets Best, I submitted a claim after having to pay $13,000 for my cat's surgery and didn't get reimbursed for over 3 weeks. I even called twice and all they said was that they're processing a lot of claims right now. Expenses that large can be life ruining and waiting that long for the reimbursement is insane. I'm still waiting to get reimbursed for another $1000 visit a week and a half ago.

I’m not really sure what we are paying for. Regarding our most recent claim, we had a $1,000 bill from the vet, and our deductible is $500. We were only reimbursed $215… I’m glad to be reimbursed for anything, but I do not understand why the majority of the vet visit/bills were not covered.

When submitting claims expect long delays, expect difficulties in having claims put through without having to jump through hopes. Customer Service Representatives aren't very helpful. There is a lot that the insurance company doesn't cover.

Pets Best is one of the most expensive and least customer service focused pet insurance companies I’ve worked with. Unfortunately, because my pet now has a chronic condition that may be considered preexisting (a fact that a customer service agent was sure to rub in my face when I called and discussed canceling after a crazy price hike), I am unable to choose a new company to switch to. They should be ashamed charging nearly $200 a month for one pet.

We feel you deny to many items that are included in procedures as exceeding previous wellness care to the point that we are lookingfor other insurance providers.

My dog had to have surgery to remove bladder stones which was $2,000. The next year what do you think happened to my premium? Doubled! They suck you in with a low premium then if you have claims they drastically increase it! Of course, they have you in a corner because if you go somewhere else, those claims won't be covered as they are considered pre-existing!

The mobile app is terrible. It never saves my login credentials so I have to enter them in each and every time. Sometimes claims takes forever to process. My first policy renewal, the rates went up. I wish the overall cost and experience was better

Disappointed, promise one thing and them are other. You visit your veterinary worried because your dog has his nodes suelen thinking in the worse, weeks later they need repet same these and they don't cover because they consider wellness, you call explain everything , they tell you are right but nobody give you back your money. And going cancel after three years have the police

Turn around time very slow. Had the wrong info to ask my veterinarian. Even though all receipts had email and phone numbers. Were not processed properly and declined at first due to your errors. Had to contact pets best and wait for very long time. I work for this veterinarian and will think twice before I recommend. My price also skyrocketed. Also will think about next pet insurance for puppy in future. I have a lower cost through my veterinarian as I work for them so feel I should get a lower cost for insurance as you also don’t have to pay full fees.

My most recent claims for our two pups who have the same plan and had the same exact treatment at the vet recently resulted in a pittance being paid towards one pups claim and zero being paid on the second because they said one had already paid out for that treatment but it's their once a year well care visit and it couldn't have been paid already because it only happens 1x year. And my email to them about it went unanswered

Nearly impossible to understand what documentation is needed to attempt to get reimbursement. I have submitted every document I have in order to get reimbursed yet I keep getting responses to submit the correct documentation

From one year to the next my insurance cost almost doubled. They take a long time to process claims. If you ever use their customer service they are super nice. The people are always great. I will probably try shopping them around soon.

we've had this insurance for a total of 5 months and have submitted numerous claims, some of which the vet deemed very serious only to have the claim denied, yes they did help with 1 or 2 but for the majority no help. I personally will not re-up again.

It sometimes takes up to a month to get reimbursed, I constantly have issues with the app working to the point that it’s unusable, & the yearly increase costs seem way too much - a 30% increase in a year, pushing me to lower coverage & question the company. I would’ve switched insurance companies but my dog developed a condition after starting with them that I knew other companies wouldn’t cover because it’d be pre-existing. Starting costs are slightly below others (though unsure of yearly increases) & they’ve been nice when I’ve had to call which is why my rating isn’t lower.
