Have this since we got our dog. 4 years. They don't pay out anything. Going into 2025 i am going to start looking at other pet insurance company. If you submit a $642 claim you only get back $250. Wtf Feel like they are after market car insurance. Wait until you put in a claim and basically nothing is covered.

It was good at first but now everyone I turn in a new claim they ask for her complete medical records.

Why do I even bother with pet insurance? Been paying in for maybe 10 years now. A $850 emergency vet bill and you paid $170. Thanks for NOTHING

I do not understand my deductibles for my current policy on Lily Christian. It looks as though things have changed with regard to the deductible. Please call me at 404-317-9031

The cost keeps going up and the length to wait for reimbursement is still extended. I’ve called for help many times and the hold time is long but the people are friendly. I’ll be shopping for new pet insurance when my policy is up for renewal.

I haven’t seen payment for my claim but your web site tells me it was paid on 12/5. This is very poor ancc FC the process to a claim isn’t very good at all but this company never had a problem taking MY money on time for this policy

Signing up was easy, but don't expect to be able to ever make any changes to your policy to increase coverage. From the materials provided, It was unclear what was considered exam fees and I did not sign up for it. When I tried to change that, I was told that I could not add it on and the only way to do so would be to cancel my policy and apply for a new one. At that point, any previous claims would be considered a pre-existing condition, which makes it pretty impractical. At that point, my pet's only claim was 'gastrointestinal infection' without having identified any cause. I was told that any future incidents with similar symptoms, so any instances of gastointestinal infection (vomitting, not eating, bloody stool) would be deemed a preexisting condition. So if I cancel and my pet has vomitting, it's not covered because that condition is preexisting. Had another claim for a dog bite. That one met my deductible, $1000, and then expenses were reimbursed at 90%, as per my policy. I took this to mean that 90% of covered expenses over $1000 would be reimbursed. When I got the explanation of benefits, it turns out that only 90% of my oiut of pocket costs were applied toward my deductible. Rather than spending $1000, I had to spent ~$1112 to meet my deductible (90% of $1112 is ~$1000), and then I was reimbursed at 90%. That's not how deductibles work. They need to update the policy verbiage to clarify that only 90% of costs count toward your deductible (or whatever % coverage your policy has). When my current policy is up I will be switching to an accident only policy. The fact that they have this policy is not readily promoted on their website, but that's what I was after anyway when I signed up.

Pets Best raised my monthly payment from $50 to $62.50 without notification. I’m now looking at USAA.

Disappointed with their coverage. It seems that every time I submit a claim and expect a reimbursement, they find a way to reimburse me for 1/4 of my total cost.

Way overpriced. Premium nearly doubled after one year for a 1 year old cat with no health issues. My mom, who has Figo, still pays the same rate she started with (got our kittens at the same time). Shameful business practices.

I had a 350 dollar policy. My cat had his teeth pulled out. And it's not paid for. It's a cat and it's not covered. The deductible was taken onto account. I think its expensive. Live an learn Tom.

Claims are paid at bare minimum. Submitting a claim is not easy because insurance wants all kinds of documents

the claim processing times just keep increasing with no explanation. services that are covered one time are not covered the next time, again, with no explanation. I feel like this service should be much better for the amount I am spending.

I am very disappointed in what the company believes an issue is a pre existing condition. When the dog has an illness and the following year it is considered pre existing. I wish I had purchased Trupanion. I had another pet and Trupanion and they never gave me problems. I care about my pet but your co is making the cost to care for my pet very high. Even my vet is annoyed with this issue. Johanna Spinelli

I have been a good customer for several years with very few claims but this past year I had to deal with a surgery and my premium was tripled which priced me out. Now I can not get coverage for his preexisting conditions . I will consider my experience for the next dog.
