I took my dog to the vet over 10 days ago and after many conversations with them they still haven't re-embersed me I still don't know what portion of the bill they intend to pay. I didn't have an extra 800.00 so I had to use my rent money. VERY SLOW TO PAY

I’ve had to resubmit my claim several times. Your system needs to accommodate invoices with charges for multiple pets.

Switching to this pet insurance was initially a source of frustration. In the past, I've used other providers, and I was tempted to switch back due to the slow processing times and lack of updates. It felt like my claims were in a black hole. If this continues I will be forced to change insurances again.

I submitted my claim and I purchased an annual supply of nexguard. I submitted it at the last month before my annual renewal. They excluded it and said I had exceeded the maximum. Shouldn't the remaining months carry over to the following deductible. Seems odd?

I pay $55 a month for insurance. I recently submitted a claim for over $600. I received reimbursement of $38. I might as well not have had insurance.

I have only had this insurance for 2 months, so my opinion may change depending on the upcoming weeks ahead and if they will stand by our insurance contract. I have a 5 month puppy and pay around $70 each month with all the add ons. So far they haven’t paid for items that were in the agreement and it has almost been a month. Perhaps it takes a long time to process these items, but it should be straightforward. I am hopeful that this will be processed soon and that they will reimburse me soon. I was under the impression that they pay out very quickly, but beware, they do not.

I submitted a claim for June 13 and I just now July 3 got a refund for what I paid at the vet and it was just a wellness check up. Will be switching back to our old insurance.

Terrible, terrible, terrible service re: claims. They send misleading emails that say a claim is closed because "this service isn't covered" and tell you to "read the Explanation of Benefits" for more information -- but when you do open the EOB, it actually says that they haven't received the proper records from the vet, and that they'd be "happy" to reopen the claim if they get that info. BUT THEY'VE NEVER NOTIFIED YOU OF THAT BEFORE, AND IT'S NOT IN THESE "NO COVERAGE" EMAILS! So incredibly misleading -- I can't imagine how many people don't know they can reopen these claims, and simply give up and don't get paid. I'm still waiting to be paid for NINE of my claims, and have had to all many times.

In general they have been good about paying out claims, although they are often slow about it. However, I was angered to learn about their policy that limits you to a certain amount of incidents of the same kind within a same period. They denied an emergency claim saying that my dog had been to the ER too many times in a certain time period for similar issues. This an absurd policy. Their defense was that it is in the fine print, but they do not put this policy anywhere that is obvious or easy to find when you are signing up, so we were blindsided and left with a large bill for something that was a faultless accident and emergency that we could not ignore. This on top of all the pre-existing conditions that they won't cover, a sad truth with all insurances, means that they are basically pointless for us to have at the moment.

Worst false marketing I’ve ever seen. Put in a claim for 1000 and all I get back is 200?? What a scam you all are. Months of premiums and you have the nerve to charge co pays on top of deductibles. Shame on you and your whole damn company. I’ll not be this stupid next time.

This company will nickel and dime you for everything that you have. Honestly, I wish I could get rid of them and go to someone else who doesn’t raise prices on you constantly and denies out things that are part of your plan.

Extreme delay in reimbursing for legitimate and fully docuemtned claims. Despite two time-consuming phone calls to customer service, the delay was extended with unnecessary requests for more documentation, wasting myveterinarian's time because all records had been submitted. Then denial of the oral assessment part of tooth removal, even though the dogs teeth were not cleaned, which was the jsutification. THREE WEEKS wait for reimbursement. Pets Best claims 25 days is typcial. Healthy Paws paid all my bills in 24-48 HOURS. Trupanion pays instantly. This must be why Pets Best rates are so much lower than others?

I'd rather save my money than use Pets Best. Took 7 weeks for them to process my claim. I sent medical records and they kept asking for the same medical records. After multiple phone calls, they finally processed my claim. Guess what? I only got $65 out of the $700+ claim I submitted. I just started laughing

I have had this plan for 26 years I have never had this many problems not getting reimbursed until the lat 6 months I have an old plan but the claims adjuster doesn't understand it and is putting the wrong conditions of my claims which is costing me money (I pay $210 per month) and aggravation. For example for cushings disease meds (that I knew was maxed out he labeled it under the condition of Heart Disease. He calls atopy/allergies for Phemigus ( like a autoimmune disease) under a different label. He takes dedutibles on the same meications but call it different conditions.. When they sold me this plan I understood I have a $2500 max per incident or condition..He is not understanding the policy and making it up. I have sent him multiiple appeals and in response he sent me one letter naming many claim number bunched together which is difficult to decipher I am very upset . Rosalyn Dorenter Policy # 101905756.
