Customer service is terrible to try and get in the phone. They're refusing to cover a diagnosis saying it's a pre-existing condition even though it was only diagnosed after 3 months of me paying for insurance.

Increased premiums in the middle of the policy period because we moved to another state and you claimed it’s because the new state is more expensive which we have not found to be the case

I never seen a company give me such a hard time submitting my invoice, I was told I would be 100 percent covered when I applied for my insurance, I was only covered for 49 dollars on a 313 dollar bill, I'm very disappointed. I need an explanation on this. I'm thinking about canceling my policy if I don't have my veterinarian bill fully remembursed

I am very disappointed at the amount of money that was only paid out to me. I have been paying for 3 years and never filed a claim and then only 50% when I agreed to 90% agreed. You guys pick at random what is not covered. I will never recommend your company.

I have the well care option. Just had my new kitten neutered. They covered $0 of castration. The policy said it was covered. Bought this policy because it had a wellcare option. Will cancel and try Nationwide even though they don't have the wellcare option.

I am extremely disappointed with Pets Best Insurance. While my first year was great, with a monthly premium of $170, the cost has skyrocketed every year. After the first year there was a $60 a month increase and after my second year there was a $80 increase. Now, in my third year, I’m being charged over $330 per month! I don’t understand how this is legal or why the rate increases are so extreme. Next time, I will choose a provider that locks in rates for the lifetime of my pet. Additionally, their claims process is frustratingly slow. It takes an entire month to be reimbursed for my pet’s prescription medication, which I purchase regularly. I don’t understand why it takes so long to process something that is a recurring expense. Overall, I would not recommend Pets Best to a friend. The constant rate hikes and slow reimbursements make this insurance more of a burden than a benefit

I filed two claims the January 2nd, one for each of my two dogs Tucker and Turner. When they were first submitted you requested more information but never mentioned for sure what else was needed other than something showing where the bill was paid. So the payment information was sent. I assumed you needed all of their prior records. It took me a while to get them all together so I let you know approximately the time I would get them to you. A day or two before you received them both of their claims were closed! Then you opened new claims for them but started going over claims for services from 2021. With Turner finally the actual claim from December 2024 was finally reentered and gone over and it was closed and said PAID ( $280.00 ). However it showed paid on the 13th. That payment as of the 18th has still not showed up in my checking account. As for Tucker, there are still two claims that say in process but those two claims are from 2021 and can be closed since they were before we had your insurance. The claim for last December hasn’t even been reentered as of today. This is definitely not what I expected when signing up with your company. I would appreciate this being taken care of immediately and the payment for $280 put in my account. Tucker’s claim numbers are: 9131438 first claim for actual bill from December that was closed 9313784 open but old from 2021 9353448 open but also from 2021 NEED CLAIM from last December REOPENED and taken care of immediately. Turner’s claim numbers: 9131447 first claim for actual bill from December 9313989 from 2021 9343279 from 2021 9354066 actual claim that was completed February and says $280 was paid but not received. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN TUCKER’S CLAIM WILL BE OPENED AND PROCESSED AND WHEN THE $280.00 WILL ACTUALLY BE PAID FOR TURNER’S AND WILL SHOW UP IN MY CHECKING ACCOUNT.

Took me 5 submission of receipts to learn that neutering wasn't covered under the wellness plan. Our spay for our other puppy was covered two years ago and was unaware of this change in policy. Plan to cancel my policy as frankly it's not worth the hassle for what little is covered.

I still don't understand why the prescription of the diagnosis that is covered is deemed pre condition. I haven't received pets bank account and or checks.

My claim for a TPLO surgery was denied because they said that if she had surgery on one leg then it's going to happen to the other leg. The first surgery they did not pay for because it was during the waiting period. My claim was an actual injury cause my other dog not an hereditary problem. So disappointed! I would not waist your money on pet insurance. What good is it if it doesn't help you when you need it the most.

Insurance premium increased 4x for this year compared to last year. WOW. You sign up then they get ya..... Was happy before receiving the ridiculous/unsustainable rate increase. We expect a nominal increase as time goes by, just not a 4x increase.

Like any other insurance company don’t stop rising the premium price and every day they cover less and less. I do t know if whoever is handling g my claim is a licensed insurance claims adjuster as I can only speak to a customer service. I don’t know how regulated this company may be by Department of Financial Services.

Long delay in claim processing. If I had not called Pets Best to find out they make no further effort after making a “records request “ to my veterinarian, the claim would have closed. My veterinarian had not received any notice of records request, had to call Prts Best themselves to find out where to send records. Once they did, claim was paid at less than half of total bill was reimbursed to me. Do not waste your money paying this insurance company. I am cancelling my insurance now and will put the $143 a month into an emergency fund.

I used to think PetsBest was great insurance. Lately, I am very dissatisfied. I will no longer recommend them to my friends. They find any reason to deny a claim. If a claim is a large amount, they take forever to process it. As long as your claim goes toward your deductible, it gets handled quickly. I am deciding whether I will be continuing my 3 policies. The cost of the policies keep rising steeply and fighting for reimbursement for covered items may not be worth it anymore.
