Shocking! Insurance that doesn’t want to pay out. We recused a dog and bought the insurance knowing there would be high vet bills getting him healthy and caught up on vaccines. They denied his urgent care visit, didn’t cover his second round of vaccines saying we had already used our yearly allowance and then I received $5.60 after $250 went to a deductible. If I’ve seen the vet twice in one year, how did I not reach my deductible the first visit?

Processing of my claims is taking much longer than it should- and then I find out that expenses that should qualify for coverage are not covered- I am going to explore a different pet insurance

The annual price has more than doubled and many of the emergency tests i required to diagnose my dog’s issue are classed as ‘wellbeing’ which is ridiculous. I’ll be getting insurance elsewhere next term.

This was pretty expensive insurance and my dog ended up getting a sick a year into coverage. I also had accident, illness, and treatment covered in his plan. After submitting almost $2000 of claims through the year, the insurance reimbursed me only $80 to cover the office visit, thats barely what I pay in a month for his coverage. Better to just save the bill and use the money later since you will have to anyways. It also took WEEKS to get responses to any of these.

You either have insurance or you don't. All these grace periods or waiting for underwriting to make a decision is ridiculous. I got insurance on a Friday and we noticed my puppy had an ear infection on Sunday afternoon. Went to the veterinarian animal hospital on earliest appointment Tuesday morning. Paid to have the dogs ear flushed out and drops and with normal puppy stuff. They would not pay the claim because supposedly you have to wait "14 days" after getting insurance for the grace period for pre existing conditions. My puppy that I picked up on Friday when I purchased her from the breeder, she did not have an ear infection. Breeder can vouch for that. But they still refuse to pay the claim. Anyway to get out of paying it, they will. I may cancel this policy soon. This was on 28th of October and as of the 17th of November I still haven't received payment for the other puppy preventative maintenance stuff they agreed to pay for since I have the best policy they offer at the highest rates.

Pets Best doesn’t cover anything. You pay an outrageous premium (don’t even get me started on their deductible!) for their services and have to wait upwards of a month for them to review your claims only to have them deny almost everything. What’s the point of the insurance?!

The premiums are outrageous, they increased significantly when my pet turned 2. Claims take a long time to process and are often denied. You also have no way of knowing on how close you are to meeting “your deductible” before coverage will kick in.

I have had both of my dogs on Pets Best for 5 years, paying on average $70/month for that timeframe. My girl passed away a year ago, leaving me to pay for my now senior 11 year old dog. As he enters his 12th year, Pets Best decided to increase my annual premium from $413/year to $1,200/year with an 80/20 copay after a $1k deductible. This is over a 100% premium increase. RIDICULOUS!

Nothing ever cover. There is always an excuse for lack of coverage. But there always there for the premium.

I would never recommend this insurance company to anyone. The only reason I keep it is for my animal other than that it’s unprofessional and bogus. The company in my last claim labored u see a double standard with the government absolutely horrible to the extent was not forthcoming.. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Would strongly recommend against using this company for pet insurance. I wish I could switch back to my previous company (healthy paws) but am stuck now that my dog has had a condition while under this insurance. They take weeks to process claims as opposed to days like my prior company. They bill your co-insurance before applying the deductible which I had never heard of. Customer service can be curt when discussing your concerns with them. Don’t get trapped here like me.

They cover nothing. Everything is a “pre existing condition” to them. I can’t wait to cancel. I’ve been paying for a year and have had every claim denied. Complete waste of money.

I sent the annual visit bill for reimbursement and they sent me an email saying they changed my policy without asking my consent. I have called their costumer number twice and I was not able to speak with a representative. I am disappointed with their service.
