Good claims processing practices. But you raise rates every year by at least $100. This is too much.

Read your contract - I thought the deductable would cover most of my annual wellness visit, and it only covered $30. Every year the insurance has gone up, and now I pay $150.00 each month for a healthy dog who is pushing 10 years old.

Overall good. However, if you need assistance over the phone, the customer service representatives don't seem to have the desire to help you with your inquiries.

I appreciate my claim was covered after 3 weeks; however for an emergency vet visit, not sure why so much verification and review was needed from er and vet.

I received and email advising me that PetsBest requested records from our Vet and that if they had any issues or questions they would reach out to me. Several days later I received a denial of my claim stating they never received the records from our vet. I called my vet and had the records in 10 minutes and uploaded to PetsBest portal. Had they reached out to me as they said they would the claim would have been processed quicker.

Pre paid decal test wasn’t reimbursed even though haven’t completed test. Vet charged me to take sample kit home and would do test once brought back

I like being able to cover my puppies but the delay on reimbursement is confusing and takes a while sometimes to get back.

I am rqting at the "Acceptable" level due to the fact that I still have several claims in process and I am awaiting their decision. MY one majoi obection at this time is the compicity oif their policy terms. Extremely bureacratic and confusing.

Pets Best insurance is very good at communicating with you. They respond immediately to let you know they have received your claim and they also follow up if there is a delay or question quickly. However, it has taken them more than three weeks to process my claim, despite the fact that I provided them with an invoice and vet summary of what the claim was for. I have still not received the money in my bank account, despite receiving a notification that it was sent to my bank. So it would seem to me that anyone looking for pet insurance needs to understand that claims are not processed expeditiously.

Took almost two weeks to reimburse me & only paid $6 on a $49 vaccination. I'm too early in the process of say they're excellent or poor- this was my 1st claim, so right now I'm neutral.

I have found that Pet’s Best is a bit challenging to work with. Their app rarely works, and they (like most insurance agencies) do their utmost to cover as absolutely little as possible. For instance, I started pet insurance when I adopted my cat and during the two week waiting period before his coverage started, he had an ear infection. 6 months later, he was dealing with seasonal allergies. Pet’s Best wouldn’t cover his eye drops for allergies because he had a single ear infection 6 months before, calling it a preexisting condition. I would choose another pet insurance provider who has a smoother way of interfacing next time.

I am giving three stars because it takes sometimes over a month to receive payment which is probably standard but could be a little faster. Secondly, the technology and platform that pets best uses is a joke. SO MANY BUGS. Invest a little bit more in your platform so it’s a user friendly. The app is frozen all the time and you have to re login a million times to get to where you need to be always says error when you click on claims. It’s 2025 we legit have self driving cars and technology that’s smarter than humans. Invest in your stuff, you’ll get attract more customers @ceo

I’m sure it’s not just Pets Best but I’m beginning to think pet insurance isn’t worth the investment. Most of the vet costs aren’t reimbursable because hardly anything is covered. I’m paying close to $800 a year to get reimbursed an average of $80 two to 3 times within the year. Math isn’t mathing. Just my humble opinion.

I have had positive experiences with their app and the people on the phone. My issue has been price. My dog has been insured since 2016, highest coverage possible. When getting divorced and moving the service to my name, they attempted to make me start a new account and lose the coverage I had. I had to argue and fight and it was silly and frustrating. Then last year my monthly service went from about $240/month to $367/month. It’s an insane increase for a customer who has been loyal before per insurance was even popular. When this dog passes I’m not confident I’ll continue with them due to cost. I’ll likely look elsewhere unfortunately.
