I was pleased with the final result but felt the process took way too long. Kept asking for information about my dog before I rescued her. Was very frustrating since the bills kept coming & I was being charged interest with all the delays.

I have paid for insurance for my Dog for the last 3 years and sometimes you don't even cover everything? What's the point of having insurance if you don't cover everything, even if it is a little bit.. Also, my plan went up without having knowledge about that and your still not covering everything or even a little bit.. Isn't that the point of insurance is to cover the majority of vets appointments and check ups? My Pet got a few vaccines equalling up to $70dollars and you didn't even cover any of that.. which you definitely should have covered something, especially since you are charging me more.

I got a wellness program through Pet Smart so he could get neutered and all his puppy shots for the first year . Pets best would not reimburse me for any of the bills . They said they weren’t covered . I just don’t understand why it wouldn’t be .

So far no isssues. Easy sign up, layout of options for plan coverage choices, great customer service, fast claims. Only thing bad is the Direct Pay to Veterinarian option, most places DO NOT ACCEPT direct pay option unless it's guaranteed coverage (reoccurring illness payments) otherwise you're screwed and paying out of pocket.

I think there are more things that could be covered but aren't

i can't understand why it's so difficult to upload documents. I've tried using my computer and also with the App. Both times I got the dreaded red X. Finally worked with email. I do wellness fecal tests and am reimbursed quickly but blood work isn't condsidered wellnes but goes to the yearly deductable. i'm sure there is a reason.

Turn around time for payments is too long

The amount this goes up every year is ridiculous! I haven’t had any emergent claims my dog is only 3. Soon I will not be able to afford it. Your plan is more expensive then others I have been pricing looking to switch.

The coverage seems to be getting less for some of the same things while the premium is getting out of hand!!! I submit claims for take home prescriptions, minor vet visits and a yearly wellness visit including vaccinations. The reimbursement for the vaccinations is so minimal and my girl’s flea & tick medication isn’t even covered at all. It seems to me that I’m being charged the huge premium just because my girl is older. And the reimbursement takes a ridiculous amount of time to pay!!!!! Extremely disappointing.

This company is so slow to review and reimburse claims. I submitted a claim same day as vet appointment on 2/17/25. As of today I still have not received the approved reimbursement as of 3/11/2025. Definitely is the trend as this isn’t the first claim I’ve made. Wish I could switch to another provider but alas the pre-existing condition. Do your research before choosing this company.

Used to be a great company until last year. I think they were bought by a different people. Now they're constantly asking more questions for simple procedures such as Physical Therapy, which is been done on my dogs using this insurance for over three years. But now they want all kinds of extra information, the people that work for the company in Customer Service are excellent, but the ownership sucks and my bill on two of my dogs went from $89 to $131 and $139 respectively. So now they take longer to pay back also, if I had a choice and I didn't have older dogs who have been with this company for eight years, I would definitely pick someone else.

My annual wellness visit didn't qualify me for any reimbursement. I will be canceling and use my $50/mo towards the actual bills.

Checks used to be issued within days. Seems to take longer now.

Not easy to get assistance when needed and phone options usually don't list the issue. They collect payments immediately, but when it comes to reimbursement they take a long time.

When you submit claims for things that are deemed covered, they get denied. I really feel llke I'm wasting my money wth this.

Usually, my wellness policy covers most of the vet's charges, but this time, it only covered about half. I'm not sure that the benefit is worth the premiums any more.

High premiums. Went from around 75.00 a month to around 103.00

They normally pay out well but sometimes I think the people reviewing the claims have zero brains in their heads. I’ve had to call several times because they did things wrong on a claim like saying my dogs had parasites just because they had a fecal test done. They also won’t cover a teeth cleaning for my dog because he’s never had one so there’s no proof of them ever having one simply because he had to get teeth extracted.

Pricing and coverage is reasonable, but the claims process is a huge hassle. One of my cats is diabetic and I have to submit claims for him regularly. It is not at all unusual to have to resubmit the claim three or more times before it gets reimbursed appropriately.
