“I appreciate that they offer coverage for rehabilitation services. The app is easy to use when their technology is working. Their system upgrade last Fall was frustrating for customers and I’m sure employees alike. I dislike the use of AI to screen the claims coming in as I have several that get flagged or incorrect reimbursement amounts that differ from appt to appt and when calling to ask for manual review of the claim it can be quite a wait for a human to help your call. I will say the employees have always been kind and helpful when I do speak to them!!”

“Pets Best never reimburses me more than the premium I pay for their service. It's not worth it. As soon as I have time to research other options, I'll be changing services.”

“Very fast turn around. I took a picture of my vet bill and uploaded it. I got several emails updating the status of my claim. The money was deposited into my account in a little over a week.”

“Pets Best is great because it is simple to use and generally processes payments very quickly directly into your bank account. It provides peace of mind. Hopefully, everyone's pets live long, happy, and healthy lives. However, if an illness or injury arises, it is good to know that vet bills will be covered according to the type of contract you have purchased.”

“This was my first claim and they paid what they said they would under the Essentials plan. I was pleased with that. However, the website is the worst. It either doesn’t open, continually spins or times out. I see their are a lot of complaints about it. Please fix and it would be great! I will keep the insurance for now but the wait on the phones needs to be better and the web. Thank you so much.”

“I have had this insurance for both my dogs since they were puppies. Even though their rates go up every year, it’s worth it. I’ve always had great customer service and coverage! I always recommend to people. I will never be without insurance owning a pet again, and PB will be the one I will choose!”

“My cat was sick for over 3 months. It took a month and a half to find out she had chronic bladder infection and e-coli. Samples were sent to an out-of-state lab three times. She was considered healthy but then the e-coli reoccured. It took months of antibiodics, pain meds, and tests but she is now healthy! PetsBest was there helping cover expenses, which were high. I scanned and sent in many receipts at a time using outlook. Their response was timely and covered most of several thousand dollars of expenses. I highly recommend them.”

“Obvious why they’re so inexpensive. Terrible customer service, they deny claims and give no way to appeal. They denied a claim for an ear infection saying it was a preexisting condition - 8 months after I signed up. How is that possible? I would go with literally any other company.”

“So far, I'm not impressed. My other dog used to have lemonade insurance and they paid claims quickly and actually paid attention to what the bill was. Pets best must have AI reading the bills and declining them or only paying partial payment. It took almost 3 weeks to get reimbursement. Lemonade used to take 3 days. I think I'm going to switch to lemonade because waiting 3 to 4 weeks for a claim to be paid is ridiculous.”

“I've had this insurance for 2.5 years. For the first time, we actually reached our deductible and Pet's Best couldn't have been worse to deal with to process the claim. I had to call and spend an estimated 2 hours on the phone with them over 3 different calls to get them to actually read the medical records that were provided by our vet offices. At the end of every call, they would assure me the medical records review team would read ALL of the files, and then just days later I'd get another email saying insufficient medical records even though they were all there the entire time. Highly disorganized, slow to process, and unhelpful support. Would not recommend.”
