Pets Best handled my claim quickly—it was processed in under a week. My 5-year-old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, and they applied all my expenses toward the deductible. They’re now issuing a reimbursement check for the remaining balance. I’m truly grateful that their policy covers her cancer, just as they promised.

So far I’m finding its price goes up significantly each year and it covers less. Furthermore it doesn’t cover jack.

I have had this insurance for over a year. I submitted a claim that was 381.00. It only covered 105.00 dollars of the claim. I pay 140.00 a month. It honestly so far doesnt seem worth what I pay compared to the maximums it pays out for basic shots and annual visit. Im going to cancelle and just save the 140 a month in a savings account instead. Not worth what you pay for 2 animals.

So far I’ve been very disappointed in this insurance for my dog. I have a wellness plan added on and at my dogs most recent visit I submitted the claim to pets best and it says I’m only getting back $4.50 “because my limit had already been met this term.” I haven’t been paid out at all for any wellness or for the emergency visit I had with my dog. I’m very disappointed in Pet’s Best. I have also reached out and not heard back from anyone.

Your pet insurance in the past was good. However, I submitted 2 claims. On one claim I mistakenly didn’t send the right invoice. When I did submit the right invoice my claim was closed. I spoke to one of your agents that was very helpful, but then I received an email saying I had duplicate claims. I sent a message back saying that they were in fact, two different claims. I was supposed to hear back from an agent. So far no one has called me. I sent all the doctor’s notes and invoices. Several times I have logged into your website to check my claims, only to receive an error message and couldn’t access anything. You have no problem taking my payment, but big problems paying my claims.

Over the years, I have been very happy with Pets Best. With the high costs of pet ownership, insurance is a must. I have found Pets Best to be very fair, prompt, and professional. Grateful for them in some very difficult times with my dog.

Pets Best has covered most of my dogs expenses. The insurance company only covers one (1) flea/tick medication claim per year. Why? Dogs need flea medication 4 times a year. It doesn't make any sense. Rewrite your policy to allow the medication every quarter. I am actively looking for a new insurance carrier. I work for an insurance company. Their master policy doesn't have one time fees.

I purchased a policy for my dogs years ago. It was great! Great customer service, great claim processing time, and good rates. Now the rates have significantly increased (they increase annually), within this year the rate nearly doubled. I can not tell you how many times I have recieved that letter stating they are sorry, the claim is taking longer to process....I have not spoke with customer service in years - last time I did it was about the rate increase and of course they stated it is due to increased costs, state of the art medical equipment that vets are now using, which costs more, you know, the same excuses as any other insurance company. My vet is a county vet, who doesn't have all that equipment. Of course, my dogs are mid age now & if I were to look elsewhere, they would not cover pre-existing issues. Each year I wonder if this insurance is worth it any longer, as I pay about $300/month for 2 dogs.

I could talk to an actual human being on the phone, and Pet's Best worked hard to review my claims and ensure I got the money due to me once the deductible was met. I appreciate the ease of making claims online and getting Explanation of Benefits PDFs to my email. My only criticsim is I am signed up to be paperless and I recieved all my EOBs in the mail, in addition to email. The paper EOBs were unecessary for me. Thank you very much!

I have been very satisfied with the Pets Best Insurance I have purchased for my Sadie. I did not have pet insurance previously and was thousands in debt when my Archie got sick. Definitely worth it.

It is easy to submit claims. The turnaround time on claims can sometimes be very long. Once or twice, it has taken multiple weeks, which would be stressful in an emergency situation. However, it is not usually that long and they are good about covering what they say they will.

Very disappointed and thinking of canceling. I was under the impression that it paid for items not paid on my latest bills and meds. Called and 20 min wait.

My claim experience with Pet's best, both with this current claim and ones in the past have all been very positive. They were smooth and efficient. I was upset at the beginning of this year when my pet's yearly policy went from $500 to $1,100 and my dog's only 5 years old. But they processed this recent claim that I had efficiently. The only thing I would ask them to improve on is if you have several invoices to submit, they make you make a new claim for each one which is a little bit of a chore. So if you have a problem that needs surgery and 10 visits and then you'd probably have 10 invoices so you'd have to make 10 separate claims but otherwise they process it them quickly and paid quickly and appropriately

I just put a claim in and am very satisfied with the service. I was updated when claim was going to take longer due to medical records needing to be received from veterinarian.

I really love Pets Best. After looking through multiple insurances again when I added a new puppy over the summer, I still believe Pets Best overs the best insurance policy out there. The reason I can’t give it a 5/5 is the processing time is just too long. Sometimes it’s quick 1-2 weeks. Other times it can be over a month. When you have ongoing appointments, it’s hard to make decisions for what’s right for your pet if you don’t know if the insurance will cover it. I lost $1k because I continued to do appointments like always (over a year of these same appointments 2x a week) and pets best decided that something wasn’t covered. I didn’t know until 6 weeks after. Going forward, I will tell my vet we can’t do certain things because it’s not what’s best for him. Who knew stretching and massage wasn’t covered for PT for dogs. I’m glad it’s covered for humans when we need it…
