When I first signed up it was fine. However, trying to get in touch with someone is a 20 minute wait on the phone and they cant help. I think one month is a bit too long to process a simple claim. Everything included when submitted. The price, the doctor notes and the paid receipt. Still took a month!

Pets Best has been amazing for helping my dog through cancer. He would be gone already without their support. Instead, after four months of treatment, he's feeling great and is even back to competing in agility. Thank you Pets Best for giving my dog a chance to beat this horrible disease and keeping him happy.

Overall very satisfied, great amount of coverage. Disappointed that the rates have near about triples and it takes absolutely forever for a claim to be processed. That being said, it does eventually get processed and I know I take the best care of my babies knowing I have PetsBest.

it has been over 25 days and i still have not received my reimbursment payment. i had to call 3 times through the month and on the24th day i was told the claim would be expedited. the vuery first claim i ever did i received my payment in 4 days.

The quality of the service itself is good; however, the waiting period is unreasonable. Emergencies can happen at any time, and not being covered during a critical situation—especially when you have a new puppy—is extremely concerning. I made every effort to be proactive and obtain coverage before any issues arose, yet due to this unrealistic waiting period, I incurred significant additional expenses. Despite paying for the insurance, my puppy was not covered during a serious medical condition that could have been life-threatening. In this situation, the insurance provided no assistance, even though premiums had already been paid.

I’m very pleased with Pets Best insurance. My Foxy is 11 years old and has developed a few chronic health issues over the last few years. Pets Best has been good about responding to my claims in a timely fashion.

Be very careful and look at your explanation of benefits for claims closely. They routinely miscategorize and deny costs on invoices that are indeed covered benefits. There is no online way to appeal. You get to call and wait on hold. Then their representative says they will help, and its too bad this happens because AI is the thing processing your claim. Except then why did it take a month delay to process if it was all an automated sytem? ("delay, deny, defer"). Next one will be OK, then later claims are back to the old tricks. When an error happens again, and again, it can only be one of two things: intentional or incompetence. In either case, be careful with this company.

The ultimate test of pet insurance is fair and prompt responsivesness to a claim. All claims from my pets illness have been approved and payment issued. There were 4 claims related to our dog's illness. The first one Pets Best was very slow to approve, the following 3 were appoved promptly. The first claim may not have been entirely clear in it's purpose; it may have been made more clear when the other claims were submitted. I would recommend Pets Best and will purchase it again the next time I adopt. I never wanted to be in a position where I was making medical decisions based on ability to pay.

Insurance is outstanding! You are able to choose your deductible and amount of coverage for the year. This insurance also covers the initial exam for emergency visits which many companies do not. They will also deposit your money right into your checking account if you choose that option. Only complaint is they are very slow to pay. Sometimes it takes a month which makes it difficult to pay the credit card on which you have charged the visit or medication.
