I have used Pets Best insurance since my GSD was a baby (almost 7 years). It has always been easy to submit and claim and reimbursed in a timely matter. I am so grateful for pet insurance.

I adopted Apollo about a month ago, and I did research on Pet Insurance companies. Pets Best got some high ratings in Pet Insurance reviews. I looked at a few other Pet insurers, but Pets Best had the best rates and coverage for my dog. I got the Wellness option along with Illness coverage. I took my dog to his first adult wellness visit recently, and the total cost was $387, and my Wellness option covered $230 for that--not bad.

The claim took much longer than usual I was also surprised at how little was covered. I don’t think the health and wellness coverage is worth what we are paying.

For normal routine visits it is fairly quick for claims…. Urgent or emergency visits it takes over 30 days for them to even review it and they will ask for medical records after the receipt was sent. I was not happy with how long and how hard it was to get ahold of them. I canceled my plan and went to lemonade who pays out quicker and is just better experience than pets best.

I have had Pets Best for three years-both the wellness and injury/illness plan. Invoice submission is easy, claims processing prompt and the explanation of how the claim was processed is understandable. They've helped cover 1/2 of my dog's annual wellness visits and provided very fair coverage when there were emergency issues. Insurance is never cheap, but the reason it's there is to provide a Just In Case for you-so you aren't hit with a huge bill without help.

I researched many companies and decided on Pets Best based on the recommendations of friends and family. I’ve had my four cats covered for four years. I submitted my first claim this year and was so impressed with the ease. Any questions were handled directly with my vet and reimbursement in about 4 weeks. This insurance has been a better buy than my automobile insurance.

Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your thoughts as they are important to us. Our Wellness Endorsements are a set schedule of benefits that are not subject to a deductible or co-pay. Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy would pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, your pet may use up the benefits quickly depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services. You can find your Wellness Schedule under Documents and Forms in your account on our website and you have the option to change or remove your plan at your annual renewal. My last claim was paid in about a week and a half. I really appreciate that. I have limited funds and when I get reimbursed quickly it is very helpful.

I love Pets Best. I've used them for years and whenever I had to call the staff has always been outstanding. The claim payments are a little slower these days but that's probably because of more claims. Overall great company.

Have accident and illness coverage only since 2022. My dog tore her ACL, meniscus and needed TPLO surgery, Pets Best covered that hefty cost after the deductible was met and covered 90% of the surgery costs and other fees. These surgeries can run you over $5,000+!! If you have big dogs, it’s worth having a $250 deductible, unlimited annual max, 90% reimbursement

Takes why to long for claims to process and receive refund. I barely got any money back on my last claim compared to how much I pay for pet insurance monthly. I will be cancelling.
