I have only had to use this a few times, but my main issue is with the lack of communication. I emailed an inquiry as to why only a small amount was paid, but never received an answer. This is the first pet I have owned in many years so, though I have done medical billing in the past and have a general understanding, I didn't understand what services did not require an amount to be held towards the deductible. Thus, I not only had 2 costly vet visits within a matter of weeks, which were not for routine issues, I was surprised when it appeared my entire deductible was taken from those 2 visits, leaving me with a sizable balance to pay. Out of over $400.00 in charges, I received 2 checks for just over $15.00. Shouldn't I have received my total percentage of the rest of the allowable amount? I will continue to watch what happens over the next few months to decide whether or not to continue with your company.
