I have been generally happy with Pets Best, I had AKC insurance for my other dog, and even though they are underwritten by the same company AKC seems to have a much faster payout of claims, I also have the routine care rider on my policy, but doing the math on how much it costs, and what it covers, It may just be cheaper to pay for routine care out of pocket, Routine Care doesn't even cover all the vaccines/boosters your pet needs in a year. They also failed to pay out when my pet was seen by a vet tech, saying that it wasn't performed under the supervision of a licensed vet, even though all the techs are supervised. However, even with all that said, I would recommend (and have recommended) Pets Best to others.
