I've had PetsBest for my two dogs (a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd Dog) for going on 8 years now. I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and even with my discount, pet care is VERY expensive! I've never had an issue with them covering my claims, as I understand my policy very well on what will and won't be covered. The only reason they aren't 5/5 stars for my review is the turnaround time for some claims takes 3 to 5 weeks to see money back. Prescriptions are covered within a week typically but diagnostics or a hospitalization claim has taken 4+ weeks. I also confess a star is taken off as each and every year my policy has gone up and up. I understand paying more because veterinary care is also going up and up, but some of the rate hikes have seemed extremely substantial considering they claim they do not charge more for pets issues. I know my dogs are getting older as well but a 58% rate increase this past year seems excessive, and I'm slightly scared for my February 2026 renewal at this rate.
