So far so good. However, my pet's latest claim for periodontal disease (Stella) was denied. I disagree with this denial as I adopted Stella in August 2019 from a pet rescue unaware of her issues. To penalize me as the owner for the fact that she did not get her teeth cleaned prior to my ownership is wrong in my opinion. She was a stray when picked up by Jefferson Parish. I completely disagree with this denial of coverage for her dental work/surgery. To me it was not a pre-existing condition because it was not known at the time of adoption.
