Having pet insurance is a must for our family. We adopted an adult dog from the local shelter that develop IBD and was hospitalized with sepsis for a week. I was so thankful we were able to just say save our dog and not worry about the money. In the 2 years we have had him they have covered $15,000 in specialized vetinary care and medications. I would never have a pet without insurance again. While we are very happy with Pets Best they can have slow turn around for reimbursement, sometimes up to 5-6 weeks. I wish they would have more options for direct payment to vetinary centers.
