Product advertised as "genuine Apple" arrives with no Apple logo or markings and no Apple packaging, no paperwork or product identifying information. I call a line that never answers and later get through to be told my new earphones are "refurbished". I await a follow up call from a "manager". That doesn't come until I reply to an email request for a review of the item. Following that harsh review, I quickly receive a call from friendly customer service manager who explains the item's origin, the reason for absence of Apple packaging - and confirmation that my new earphones are not refurbished. That conversation and an audio test of them makes me more comfortable that they are genuine. Early handling of my concern was poor, but good following my online review
