I maintained a +9.0 k/d ration in CoD Mobile because of the advantage granted by Backbone. GTA Liberty City Stories plays very well with the Backbone as well. It’s definitely a quality of life improvement. It’s not necessary or mandatory but definitely makes mobile gaming (as long as the game supports controllers) smoother.
Don’t use with a regular case or with a camera lens protector.
