The game has been changing (not inherently a bad thing, per se) to make it more difficult for players to gain resources WITHOUT spending cash. It's difficult to enjoy a relaxing casual game now that every event, resources/gift-sharing becomes a gamble or RNG.
Not fun. Won't encourage people to play.
