Plumber was called by my 84 year old disabled mother to repair leak in cistern. It required a new bolt (cost £2.50) for which he charged £60. Furthermore he left his waste paper in the pan which she subsequently had to clear. The next day the valve went in the cistern requiring a plumber (thankfully someone decent). Coincidence?
Company has offered £30 refund but claims that they have no idea of how paper got in the pan as it couldn't possibly have been them. Justified cost of part as it is an "emergency price".
