I have a dripping tap in the kitchen. The most standard of all taps, the fully fitted kitchen done by the builders in a house built 2 years ago. Nothing fancy, just a regular water tap in the kitchen sink. I called plumbingforce for this, they took GBP 96 (79.99 + VAT) upfront from my card, said it is a minimum charge for 1 hour of work. The service man arrived, said he doesn't have a necessary part on him, but can offer to try to fit a different one that he has. I think I should have become suspicious at this point but I said yes why not. Basically he "tried to fit another part", said "NO, it didn't fit", and left with a bill for his work and a bill for the detail. IN the END: I still have a dripping water tap, and the company says I have to pay again at the same rate if I want the engineer to come again! THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM I am charged ~100 pounds to learn that the guy doesn't have a correct part! WHAT?! These guys are beyond the level of trickery I expected
