I always enjoy the Postscript catalogue for the vast range of books it offers. Recently, I phoned to order a book I wanted to send to a friend as a Christmas present. I prefer to use the phone, because it is more personal than ordering online. The lady to whom I spoke was both efficient and charming, enquired whether I wished to include a greeting to my friend - I did - and carefully noted the text. It was a most pleasant 'human' encounter, and I think we both enjoyed the call. I know that I did.
