I spent a lot of time comparing all of the adjustable dumbbell options. I needed something sturdy enough to withstand being dropped from bench height while still costing a sane amount of money. It needed to be expandable becuase I'm just starting out and i just don't need 100lb dumbbells (yet!). Also, i needed to know that options exist for things like a curling bar add-on. It was very quickly clear that my only choice was going to be powerblock. I ordered the fifty pound expandable set and a stand, because having to change weights on the floor is just not gonna happen. I have used them a few times alreday and i am very pleased. I will be ordring teh curling bar upgrade and maybe the kettlebell handle as well, soon.
