he 6-week (12-lesson) SAT course I took had a large number of students and a fast-paced curriculum, but our instructor, Taylor Trautwein, did an outstanding job of making sure everyone felt heard and included—even though we couldn’t speak aloud during the sessions. I really appreciated how she consistently read our chat messages out loud, often pausing mid-sentence to address a question or concern. This attentiveness made a big difference and showed that she genuinely cared about our understanding and engagement. What really stood out to me about Taylor was how relatable and down-to-earth she was. Unlike many tutors I’ve had in the past, she shared personal stories and emotions throughout the lessons, which made the experience feel more human and built a sense of trust. Her honesty and authenticity created a learning environment that felt supportive and sincere. Even during lessons that were more lecture-based and less interactive, Taylor went out of her way to keep us engaged and involved. She brought energy, humor, and creativity to the classroom, which made even the more content-heavy sessions enjoyable. Another thing that really impressed me was her level of commitment outside of class. Taylor gave us her personal email and encouraged us to reach out with any questions, which I found both surprising and admirable. It showed how deeply invested she was in our success and how much she cared about being there for us. Overall, I highly recommend this course—and especially Taylor Trautwein as a tutor. Her dedication, relatability, and passion for teaching truly set this experience apart.
