“Vishnu was an awesome SAT tutor. I started at a 1440 on my diagnostic and worked with him for a few months, and by test day I was up to a 1490. That kind of jump gets harder the higher your starting score is, so I really felt like the sessions were paying off. He was great at figuring out exactly where I was losing points and didn't waste time on stuff I already knew. He also didn't just give me the right answer, he walked me through how to actually think through the problem so I could do it on my own under time pressure. On top of that, he was patient and easy to work with, which made a big difference since I actually looked forward to our sessions instead of dreading them.”

“Sofia Jacik did great teaching each strategy and taking the time to go in depth for each one as well. Even though some class schedule updates didn’t get to me, Sofia would update us on the schedule which was very helpful. She also would stay past class time to go over homework multiple times which was very helpful. Overall, I thought the class was pretty helpful and I’m looking forward to see how I improve my act score when I get my results. I took a ACT halfway through the course and saw a 2 point upgrade so I’m hoping I improve more after having taken the entire course.”

“Prep Expert really helped me understand the PSAT and SAT much better! Dr. Kevin Parrish was an amazing instructor who made every class interactive and engaging. Even though the classes were three hours long, they went by quickly. Despite having over 100 students, he answered as many questions as possible and even stayed after class to review practice tests and explain our mistakes. As an incoming ninth grader, I appreciated how clearly he explained difficult topics I haven't learned in school yet. Overall, I had a great experience and learned a lot. “I took the PSAT Course from Kevin Parrish, and it was one of the highlights of my summer. The effort and enthusiasm he put into the course were truly amazing, and they made every moment a new, exciting experience. Because of him, I improved my math and grammar skills, and I finally learned what a semicolon does. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I even got a perfect score on the practice PSAT! And he was always kind, funny, and encouraging. I think that if anyone needs to prepare for the PSAT, Kevin is the person you should go to, and you will have an amazing time while being as prepared as you can possibly be.”

“Prep Expert has been one of the best investments I've made for preparing for the PSAT. My instructor, Kevin Parrish, did an amazing job breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand lessons while also making the class really fun and engaging with his silly jokes and enthusiastic mood. Instead of just reviewing content, Dr. Kevin taught me proven strategies for approaching every type of question, managing time effectively, and avoiding common mistakes. The biggest difference for me was how much more confident I became when taking practice tests. I improved my PSAT score by 300-500 points, and I honestly feel like the strategies I learned made all the difference. I especially loved the shortcut techniques for the math section, the reading strategies for dining the correct answers more efficently, and the writing tips that helped me spot grammar mistakes much faster. What really stood out was how encouraging and knowledgeable my instructor was. “Going into this class, I didn't really feel that there was going to be much done about my SAT score, and that I had wasted my money to sit in a 3-hour class and simply have the same score over and over again. Even so, I missed the first class for Dr. Parrish's 4-week PSAT course. Already disappointed and frustrated at myself, I tried to watch the video, but I couldn't focus, and I missed much of the math lesson that occurred on the first day. The second day of class comes in, and I join this time, still gloomy and not really expecting much; however, when Dr. Parrish popped up on my screen, a glow of energy and enthusiasm flowed through me. He always starts any of his classes with a "Welcome back" or a "Hello, everyone" with so much energy that it completely threw me off. He started going through the lectures, and things started to click for me a lot easier and better than they did when I studied on my own or with another tutor. Reflecting on the class, I can say that Dr. Parrish never looked at the slideshows and read off of them like many teachers and tutors would, but he would use the information given and use his own knowledge to produce techniques, strategies, and problem-solving abilities through the information, which was really helpful, as he would be able to relate to the students, which is very beneficial in learning and understanding the concepts. Since humans learn a lot more efficiently when we are engaged and are having fun while learning something. Dr. Parrish's energy and his enthusiasm alone were more than enough for me to sit up in my chair and listen to the concepts that he was teaching. Especially for English. I feel like I understand math a lot better than English; however, when I went into this course, I found out different ways that I could break down the English section to understand what the text really states. This made it overall a lot simpler for me to understand the English section and learn to simplify it. Through Dr. Parrish's class, I was able to improve my score by around 200 points, which was a significant improvement, considering that I really don't do that well in the reading and writing section. His techniques and style of teaching really helped me to understand the small things to look out for when taking the test, and his commitment to us, the students, to learn and grasp concepts is truly incredible. If he had another class for the SAT, I would 100% take it.”

“My instructor, Kevin Parrish, has helped me improve a lot. His lessons were easy to follow, and he always took time to answer my questions, whether it was during class or after when I needed extra help. I really appreciated how quickly he responded in the chat and how he explained things in a clear way. Because of his support, my SAT practice test score went from 1080 to 1150, my PSAT 10 score went up to 1180 after the seventh class, and my reading, writing, and math homework scores improved from 26/33 to 32/33. Mr. Parrish really cares about his students, and I’m grateful for everything he did to help me get better. I’d definitely recommend his course to anyone who wants to see real progress.”

“I took the PSAT 4-Week Course by Dr. Kevin Parrish, and he is one of the best course instructors I have had so far. He is very knowledgeable on the topics he teaches, and you can tell that he truly wants his students to succeed. I like how Dr. Parrish always looks at and answers questions in the chat, and is willing to explain the concepts multiple times until every student understands them. He is a fun and engaging teacher, as well. I also like how he manages to teach his courses while making connections with the students, as it makes the class feel more lively and fun! When I took my first practice test, I was able to get a 1450 due to the tips and tricks provided by Dr. Parrish. By the third practice test, my score increased to a 1490! I truly believe that he has helped me a lot in terms of PSAT prep, and I feel more confident in my ability to succeed on test day thanks to his course. :)”

“This course was the best possible course I could have taken to prepare for the PSAT, and more. When I heard of this I decided to attend the webinar hosted by Dr. Shaan Patel’s webinar, and it changed everything about my knowledge of the high school standardized tests that I would have to take. I was told about the scholarship money I could gain and I was so happy that I got lucky to sign up and take this course before it was too late. My instructor was Dr. Kevin Parrish and I think he was the best teacher I’ve probably ever had. Instead of just reading of a set of slides that I could read myself, he took a very different approach where he would pretty much write out the slides basically on a white blank slide while explaining the concepts of whatever subject that we needed to learn. Since he has very good experience with making and picking out practice problems, having him meant that we could tackle and solve very difficult and complex problems in class and prepare more. He would also have some problems as part of class work but some also as fun challenge problems which made me more eager to solve them rather than leave them and go do something else. I would make a lot of silly mistakes at times and unlike most teachers I had he could actually spot them and list out most probable reasons to why students would pick wrong answers, meaning I wouldn’t have to spend time thinking about how I got the answer wrong. Lastly what made this class so entertaining was that he had a really good balance of focusing on the content while also being able to sneak in side tangents at times without diverting the whole class into something else completely unrelated or unnecessary. Not only is he a very credible teacher he’s also someone that I felt like I could connect with as a student.”

He did more than just read off slides; he was a very hands-on instructor. He utilized live polls in such a stimulating way that kept the entire class focused and participating. “My class was taught by instructor Mr. Kevin Parrish, and I've got to say, it was one of the most insightful and engaging classes I've had. The sheer passion, enthusiasm, love of learning, and genuinely meaningful insights of my instructor for such a prosaic standard test have turned a mundane task into something I am actually excited to put my effort into. The difference between a lecture or a webinar and an actual class conveyed through a screen has never been more apparent. Not only does he read and respond to every question, no matter how many times it has been repeated, but he purposefully arranges lessons and practices with challenging problems so that we learn from mistakes in real time. With this strategy, each question has a catch or something that trips us up so that we remember the concept, what to look for, and how to avoid making the same mistake again. This class was more than a concept review; it gave soul to the actual test itself as Mr.Kevin plays the College Board's system like it's a fun game to challenge oneself, and I feel like I've gained that perspective after listening to him. Whether it be the PSAT, SAT, or any other test, I feel like it's all possible if you look at what makes it up, find the patterns (the test and your own), and break it down. Thank you so much to Mr.Kevin, and I hope he continues to share his passion with more students, as it really is inspiring, and it makes a real difference.”

“My instructor was Dr. Kevin Parrish. He really helped me in this course allowing me to bring my score up in both english and math. I really loved how he wasn’t like a normal boring teacher that just read off slides teaching kids for 3 hours and doing barely any questions; he taught with questions which I love. When a teacher has a group of kids for 3 hours listening to him, he must make it fun, interactive, and still help every single kid learn. Dr. Kevin Parrish did all of this and more. He was so energetic during class and I was actually able to pay attention which is usually hard for me. He was genuinely such a great and fun teacher to have throughout these last 4 weeks and I think if I hopefully receive National Merit Semifinalist, he will be one of the core reasons.”

“He actually teaches instead of just reading off those slides, he makes the classes engaging teaches us instead of just bluntly muttering for each slide. He knows his stuff really well which I think is what really helps us a lot... my score increased dramatically after i took his skills and tactics while testing. He always challenges the class with the hardest questions and every time we get one right our confidence boosts. He is always energized and engrossed and knows deeply about any topic he decides to teach. A loud shout out to him for not getting tired of the questions. The only flaw is that if he becomes any better, he could succeed in making a sixth grader pass the PSAT. But on a good note, he actually makes each student engaged and convinced to learn for the better.”

“My instructor was Kevin Parrish and he was very helpful as he effectively spent a lot of time creating resources for easy access to practice problems. He is also very interactive reading and answering questions we ask in chat while using polls as a way to gauge understanding. He does not just read off of slides but he effectively moves with the pace of the class, making sure we understand the lecture while adding on to notes to help us. Another good thing about this course is that he spent hours going over the questions himself looking for patterns that help students find ways to catch patterns on the psat while using sat questions to prepare us for the hardest possible psat questions”
