“The 6-week Prep Expert SAT course instructed by Miguel Chavira (and Alex Yang) provided a lot of helpful encouragement, substantive information, and key tips that I think will help not only with the SAT but with learning in general. I have yet to take the SAT; however, the materials, including the textbook, slides, tip sheets, homework assignments, and multiple links to practice quizzes and tests, are very comprehensive relative to what I have read about other courses. Also, the "interaction" with other students (via the webinar chat) provided additional information and guidance as to how to interpret and approach questions. I'm specifically grateful for Miguel's support and his straightforward style of teaching.”

“This course helped me refine my reading and writing skills in ways I didn’t think were possible before. I struggled a lot with that section of the SAT, and after taking the course, my skills improved significantly. My teachers, Miguel Chavira and Alex Yang, did a very good job of explaining concepts and helping both other students and me through any difficulties we had with questions we missed. I started off scoring in the low 600s, sometimes even high 500s, on the reading and writing section of the SAT. As I took the course, I began scoring higher and higher, and I eventually ended up scoring in the mid-700s on that section. The SAT math section has never been a struggle for me personally. However, when I missed a question or two on that section, the instructors explained it in a manner that was easy to understand and helped me understand why I made the mistake.”

“Before PrepExpert, I have only taken the PSAT, and have not done as well as I would've wished. Throughout the course, Miguel and Alex were very helpful and thorough with the contents. “I really liked Prep Expert's workload as it lets people like me, who tend to procrastinate a lot, actually start doing their work. The practice tests are exactly like the test, and they are weekly as well. Additionally, the hard math quiz is really well made as it is something unique and what a lot of students, including me, struggle with. My instructor was Miguel Chavira, and he does a very good job of teaching the curriculum. Additionally, the additional resources he has (Like cheat sheets) are also very helpful. The only downside I would say is the pacing of the course, or how fast the course goes. Throughout this course, I fell behind at times, but it's still easy to catch up due to the recordings of the courses. Overall, I'd rate this class a 4/5!”

“Prep Expert was an excellent experience and really helped me improve my score. My instructor, Miguel Chavira, explained concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand way and shared effective test-taking strategies that made a big difference. “My instructor's name was Isabella Raicu, and she was absolutely amazing. She explained concepts in a way that actually stuck in my brain instead of just going in one ear and out the other. One of the most helpful strategies I learned was PIN (plug in numbers), the reason I'll never forget this is because of the specific way she said it. When I use the strategy I hear her voice in my head repeating "Plug in numbers," which honestly feels like having a little SAT tutor living rent-free in my brain. Since joining Prep Expert, I've improved my SAT score by 210 points, which is something I never thought I would be able to do. This course didn't just teach me strategies, but it also gave me confidence. I will now walk into the test feeling prepared instead of panicked. Raghav was also a huge part of why this class was so successful. He did an amazing job keeping the chat up to date and jumping in to explain anything that was confusing. No question was left unanswered, which made the class feel organized and supportive. The Prep Expert website is another big reason I loved this course. Everything is clearly laid out, easy to access, and I always knew when homework assignments were due. I was never confused or scrambling to find assignments, which made staying on track so much easier. “Prep Expert instructor Ilia Kolmagorov was not just an ACT instructor, he was a life instructor! This course offered such a unique experience, with interactive webinars, easily accessible homework, and clear communication from the instructor throughout. I saw improvements in my ACT scores on the practice tests every week (4 point improvement!), and was able to target my weak points in the next class with Mr. Kolmagorov. Academically, Prep Expert helped me become a better test taker for the ACT as well as in school, but Mr. Kolmagorov went above and beyond this expectation. Every class included short lessons on how to better envision your goals and motivate yourself! “My instructor was Dr.Illia Kolmagorov, I really enjoyed this course and I learned many new things. One of my favorite thing that he did was that he always started our lesson with a breathing exercise to prepare us for the lesson. I also liked how he reviewed our homework and explained it well. The homework was pretty challenging but throughout this course I’ve seen my scores improve. I definitely got the hang of it towards the end. The only things that I would want him to improve is to make the lessons more engaging. I’ve joined another course with another instructor and she did polls for every question so everyone can participate. Even when I didn’t know the answer I always tried my best and I was super engaged when she explained how to solve it. Overall Dr. Illia was a super nice and professional instructor, I really think that these lessons will help me get a high SAT score. I would recommend him to a friend so they can have this same experience as I did.”

“Prep Expert has been one of the best academic decisions I’ve made. This course didn’t just teach me test strategies — it completely changed how I approach learning, problem-solving, and time management. Every lesson felt intentional, well-structured, and focused on helping students actually improve, not just memorize tricks. What I really appreciated was how clear and engaging the instruction was. Concepts that used to feel overwhelming became manageable and even enjoyable. The instructor explains things in a way that makes you feel confident instead of stressed, and you can tell they genuinely care about student success. I also loved how mistakes were treated as learning opportunities — that mindset helped me stay motivated and consistent. Something I didn’t expect but ended up loving was how the course built discipline and confidence. The strategies taught here are useful not only for standardized tests, but for school exams and future academics as well. I feel more prepared, more organized, and much more confident going into tests now. One improvement that could make the course even better would be adding more optional challenge questions or short recap quizzes at the end of each lesson, just to reinforce concepts even more. That said, the course is already extremely thorough and effective as it is. Overall, Prep Expert truly delivers on its promise. If you’re looking for a course that actually makes a difference and helps you grow as a student, this is 100% worth it. I’m really grateful I enrolled and would absolutely recommend it to anyone serious about improving their scores and their mindset.”
