My instructor was Tessa Gebert. I’ve taken this course twice and this time around was by far the best because I saw a major improvement in my score (over 200 points from the lowest psat score). She knew essentially all the material and provided different methods of approaching a problem, for example doing a problem algebraically and graphically. Additionally, hearing her personal connections to studying for her LSAT was relatable and we could see how the studying methods applied for majority of tests and how she utilizes them too. The only reason my rating wasn’t 5 stars was because some of the problems I think could’ve been solved quicker and with an easier approach, so going over the practice from the homework could’ve been shorter.

It had helped but I wish it would show you how to do that math concepts rather than show you a problem you missed and expect you to know how to do the rest of the ones similar. My instructor was Isabella Raicu. She did well but I wish some things were different pertaining to the math portion.

I think the prep expert courses aren’t entirely worth the price and work of the classes because the curriculum is concentrated into a single PowerPoint presentation, which can be read in a short article by anyone without the need of an instructor. The teacher Tessa Gebert was very helpful, but I believe they could have been more familiar with the course and updated on recent important changes to the SAT test that could affect students’ scores. Compared to PSAT scores, I have improved, but most of my improvement was from practicing the tests instead of learning from the courses. The courses do explain a lot of strategies on how to make the test easier or faster, but most of the teaching time is wasted on reviewing many basic mathematical concepts or mechanical functions in English. If the course was written into a book, then it would be no longer than 50 pages. I believe most of the improvement on SAT takers can be made through completing questions and quickly reviewing the key concepts. The course was not a waste of time, but there were days when easy course material was reviewed for too long.

My tutor is Tessa Gebert -and she is very kind and I really liked her as a teacher. She made my English score improve really well and I have been struggling on that for a very long time. I do think she could teach a little better when it comes to math but overal she’s a wonderful teacher. She makes the SAT seem like simple task to go through which makes me motivated to study harder and get the achieving score that I wish for. I also like how she motivates us to try harder but at the same times tells us to not over work ourselves. From these 6 weeks, I could tell she really cares about each and every one of us and I hope I could take her lessons to use for my future. The course was amazing and I have so many resources that I could look back to whenever I want. There are so many wonderful strategies that I could look back to and I like how I can rewatch the recordings. Overall, this course is amazing and it improved my English score by 70 points! I truly recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their SAT score.

Tessa Gerbert was a good instructor and I was able to learn a lot from her. Her personal insights on top for the slideshows helped me implement the various tips and tricks that were on the slideshow. She also was able to not make the lesson a lecture but instead almost like an interactive plan where it was easier for everyone to not get distracted.

I think this course was helpful in teaching me useful techniques to improve my score. I have already increased my score by about 100 and I think with more practice with the strategies I learned I can improve more. I liked my instructor Tessa Gebert because she made the class engaging and fun to listen to and I didn't get bored. Overall I think this course was beneficial and I would recommend to others.

Kevin Parrish is an awesome instructor!! In eastern time, it is evening when my class starts. After a long day of school, it is hard to stay motivated during a three hour lesson. However, I have never had an instructor as encouraging, enthusiastic, and thorough as Kevin. I liked the course because it reviewed both math and reading/writing each lesson. However, some of the practice tests were glitching and I couldn't review the answers after submitting them. Some of the questions were faulty as well.

Miguel Chavira was an excellent tutor, instead of only reading off of the slides he forced us to evaluate what we should do, by telling us to learn from mistakes. Not only that, but when going through the homework review he gave explanations for his reasonings, like why he chose an option, or his thought process on handling the processes. Going into the course, I felt really unsure about many questions in the reading and writting section, not knowing how to tackle difficult problems, and usually just guessing on a majority of them. That being said, after this course I really think that I improved and the questions are a lot less confusing and more straight forward than they were prior. This course was extremely helpful setting a huge foundation for my SAT journey. Although I haven't yet taken the SAT, I hope that I'll be able to achieve a high score with the guidance that this course brought.

Starting off, this class has been extremely beneficial and has helped me improve my score tremendously from my first practice. The practice tests and homework helped hone the excellent skills and strategies we would learn in class. Our instructor, Miguel Chavira, was an excellent teacher who would go through the questions thoroughly and explain the thought process and putting the strategies into practice. However, I do have some minor critiques. The first is the technical difficulties I experienced. The practice test website was buggy for the entire class and only halfway through the class did I find a work around to get on. Second, is the vocab quizzes. The vocab quizzes are a new addition since the PSAT class I took two years ago, and I think they could be better implemented. The biggest issue is that the synonym options that were given were more obscure than the actual vocab work itself and I found myself clueless about the answer a large part of the time. Lastly, I think the classes’ schedule fails to account for the shrinking attention span of teens. It’s an inevitable truth that social media is taking a toll on the average teenager’s attention span, and the large three hour chunks of class would sometimes end up dragging on. I am sure there are ways to remedy this, but that is an issue for minds much smarter than my own. Overall, I think that this class was a very informative, helpful, and skill building experience that has greatly benefited me, but has some minor flaws. Despite the long days and hard work, I am glad I did the class, and I hope the skills I have been thought will helped propel me into excellence.

Glad I took this course, Kevin is a very patient guy who can clearly answer everything. I feel very confident about my reading section, and he did all he could to help me with math, so I’ll be using all the tips to better myself that way. What I like most about this course is the fact that I now have a lot of tools at my disposal to sharpen my skills.

My instructor was Kevin Parrish. He did a great job of efficiently explaining the content and answering my questions. The thing that meant the most to me was he would immediately answer any question that any student has without hesitation. That shows that he really values our improvement and education. The way the content was presented was very helpful for me, mainly the use of poll problems and effective examples. My practice test score has increased by almost 240 points, from 1190 to 1430. Kevin Parrish did an amazing job of teaching me and my peers, and I honestly don’t have any criticisms about his teaching. Thank you!

Ilia Kolmagorov was my instructor throughout the course and he did a really great job at engaging the students while providing us with helpful tips and tricks. I was able to improve my math score, and my English score by at least 100 points. My only suggestion is that for people with extended time we were unable to add that to our practice test so that might affect the accuracy of our score.

Ilia Kolmagorov was an excellent teacher. I have seen major improvements in my English scores and that is thanks to Illia and the way he teaches the prep expert strategies. The course allowed me to get insider tips for the sat to boost my score. It has helped me incredibly in the sat and school classroom
