To be honest, I expected long, boring lessons with endless practice tests that I would dread. From the first class, that opinion changed. The energy and support from my instructors, Miguel and Calvin, made a huge difference. They cared about helping us understand why certain answers were right and what to look for in the wrong answers. Not just formulas and rules, but WHY. This course has taught me how to think like the SAT. I learned strategies and skills that improved my score by over 200 points! By the end of the course, I was excited to take the practice tests to see how much I could improve in just a week. At the end of the course, Miguel said, "You guys did this. I just gave you the materials." This was encouraging, but without his clear strategies, patient explanations, and constant reminders that we COULD do this, I know I wouldn't feel as confident heading into this exam. I am so grateful for the tools, structure, and preparation that I gained through this course. I will not only take this into my exam, but into the rest of my academic career.
